Machshirin 5:8-9

Machshirin 5:8

Ki yutan doesn’t apply to coverings that protect tables or to reed mats that protect bricks, but if one shook them (to wash them off), then ki yutan applies.

Machshirin 5:9

All running flows of liquid are ritually clean except for the honey from Ziff and Tzapachas (which was very thick). [There is a difference of opinion as to whether Tzapachas is a place name or the name of a dish made from flour and honey.] Beis Shammai also include a dish of mashed or whole beans because it retreats backwards (when the flow is broken).
