Machshirin 5:2-3
Machshirin 5:2
If a person is swimming in water, ki yutan doesn’t apply to the water he splashes but if he splashed his friend intentionally, then ki yutan does apply. If one blows bubbles in the water, ki yutan doesn’t apply to the resulting splashes or to the water in the reed through which he blew. [The mishna merely says that he “made a bird” in the water; there are other explanations as to what that means.]
Machshirin 5:3
If rain run-off fell onto fruit and one shook the fruit to dry it, Rabbi Shimon says that ki yutan applies but the Sages say that it doesn’t.
