When a Jew cuts an idolator’s hair, he must stop on each side within three finger-widths of a bloris (a Mohawk-style haircut; see 11:1).

If a Jew holds an important office in a non-Jewish country that requires him to appear before the king, if it would be embarrassing for him to look different, he is permitted to wear clothes like theirs and to shave the hair on his face like they do.
