Niddah 6:13-14
Niddah 6:13
Rabbi Meir says that if a woman sees a bloodstain, her status is in doubt so she must assume that she might be a zavah. The Sages say that a bloodstain doesn’t render her a zav.
Niddah 6:14
If a woman sees blood on the eleventh day (i.e., the last of her zivah days) at twilight, or at the start or end of her period, or at the start or end of zivah days, on the fortieth day after delivering a boy or the eightieth day after delivering a girl – at twilight in all of these cases – then she has made a mistake in her calculations. Rabbi Yehoshua says, before correcting the women who don’t know how to calculate properly, one should correct the women who do (because there are still confusing scenarios).
