Negaim 2:4-5
Negaim 2:4
When having negaim inspected, a man assumes the position of one who is hoeing or gathering olives and a woman assumes the position of one who is rolling dough or nursing a child, and weaving on an upright loom if the nega is in her right armpit. Rabbi Yehuda adds the position of one who is spinning flax for the left armpit. The position one assumes for examining a nega is also the position for shaving hair later on.
Negaim 2:5
One (i.e., a kohein) may inspect any nega except for his own. Rabbi Meir added that one may also not inspect his relatives’ negaim. One may annul any vows except for his own. Rabbi Yehuda adds that one may also not annul vows that are between his wife and other people. One may examine any firstborn animals except for his own.
