Mishnah Brurah Yomi - Introduction
The Mishnah Brurah is the magnum opus of Rav Yisrael Meir HaKohen Kagan, AKA the Chofetz Chaim (1838-1933). This work is a commentary on the Orach Chaim section of Shulchan Aruch, which deals with daily Jewish life. It is widely considered the seminal work of halacha l’maaseh (the practical application of Jewish law).
OU Torah presents Mishnah Brurah Yomi, delivered by Rabbi Aaron E. Glatt, MD. Assisting Rabbi Glatt in this endeavor are two of his sons, Rabbi Ephraim Glatt, Esq. and semicha student Chezkie Glatt.
This new series will go through an amud (page) of Mishnah Brurah daily, Sunday through Thursday, based on the Dirshu Mishnah Brurah cycle that begins again on March 22, 2015 (2 Nisan 5775). Follow along on your daily commute, before or after davening, or at any convenient time, and make the study of this foundational Jewish text come to life.
