1,211. Cutting Across Another Person's Property
183:5 One is not permitted to enter another person's plowed field because he walks on the plowing and ruins it.
183:6 One may not stand across from another person's field in order to stare at it when the crops are high so that he shouldn't damage them through the "evil eye." All the more so, it is forbidden to stare at another person in a way that would make him think that one is trying to harm him through the "evil eye." Even when it comes to one's business, where there is no fear of damage from the "evil eye," if someone is working in his own house and property, we may not watch without his knowledge, because maybe he doesn't want others to know his business. It is good manners when one sees another busy at his work to bless him by saying "may you have success in your work."
