Parah 7:1-2

Parah 7:1

If five people collected water in five jars to mix five sanctification waters but they changed their minds and decided to mix one sanctification water, or if they filled the jars intending to mix one sanctification water and they changed their minds and decided to prepare five sanctification waters, all the water remains fit. If one person collected water in five jars to mix five sanctification waters but he changed his mind and decided to mix one sanctification water, only the last one is fit. [This is because performing other tasks while preparing the sanctification water invalidates the water. Filling the second jar invalidates the first, filling the third invalidates the second, etc.] If he intended to prepare one sanctification water but he changed his mind and decided to prepare five, only the first one he sanctified is fit. [Sanctifying the first jar is a task performed that interrupts the preparation of the other four, invalidating them.] If the person who collected water in five jars intending to mix five sanctification waters told someone else to mix sanctification water for himself, only the first is fit. If he said, “Mix sanctification water for me,” they’re all fit. (The water still belongs to the former and the one mixing it can’t invalidate water that belongs to someone else.)

Parah 7:2

If a person collected the water with one hand and performed some other task with his other hand, or if he collected the water for himself and for someone else, or if he collected for two other people, both are unfit. This is because performing other work renders collecting unfit whether one is acting for himself or for someone else.
