1,100. A Bandage

161:4 A bandage on a wound is a chatzitzah (interposition), as is a plaster that one puts on for three or four months and that later falls off by itself. During that time, it's impossible to remove without taking some skin off with it. Even if the woman says she's used to it and it doesn't affect her, it is a chatzitzah nevertheless. Similarly, if a woman has a wound and she opened it and put gauze inside the opening, under the bandage, even if it can't be seen when she removes the bandage because it's internal, it is a chatzitzah nevertheless.

161:5 Marks of filth on the skin caused by perspiration are a chatzitzah if they've dried. Particles on the skin - as are sometimes formed when one's hands are unclean from clay or dough or sweat and one rubs his hands together - are also a chatzitzah.
