Meilah 2:5-6

Meilah 2:5

The laws of misappropriation apply to a sin offering, a guilt offering and a peace offering from the time that they’re consecrated. After they have been slaughtered, they can be rendered unfit by a t’vul yom, by one who must still bring an offering to effect atonement, or by being left overnight. Once the blood has been sprinkled, the laws of piggul, nosar and ritual impurity apply; misappropriation doesn’t apply to the animal’s flesh (which may be eaten) but it does apply to the parts to be offered until they’re taken to the place of ashes.

Meilah 2:6

The laws of misappropriation apply to the two loaves offered on Shavuos from the time that they’re consecrated. Once they’ve formed a crust in the oven, they can be rendered unfit by a t’vul yom and one who must still bring an offering to effect atonement, and their offerings can be slaughtered. Once the blood of the lambs has been sprinkled, the laws of piggul, nosar and ritual impurity apply but those of misappropriation don’t.
