Psalms 81:2
הַרְנִינוּ לֵאלֹקים עוּזֵּנוּ הָרִיעוּ לֵאלֹקי יַעֲקֹב
Sing out to G-d, our strength! Shout out to the G-d of Jacob.
This is the Psalm of the Day for Thursday, the fifth day of the week. The Talmud in Rosh Hashana (31a) explains why each day was day was assigned a particular Psalm. This Psalm tells us to shout out in praises to G-d. On the fifth day of Creation, G-d created the birds and the fish. These things give people many reasons to sing G-d’s praises.
