3,429. Kohanim or Leviim Sharecropping for Yisraelim

Hilchos Maaser 6:17

If a kohein or a Levi receives a field as a sharecropper from a Yisroel, they divide the terumah and maaser just as they divide the secular produce. The Yisroel may then take his share and give it to a kohein or Levi of his choosing. But, if a Yisroel receives a field as a sharecropper from a kohein or a Levi, the terumah or maaser (as appropriate) belongs to the owner of the field and the rest of the gifts are divided.

Hilchos Maaser 6:18

If one person receives from another olives to make oil, regardless of whether a Yisroel receives them from a kohein or a Levi or vice versa, they divide the terumah and maaser the same as they divide the secular produce. This is because oil is precious.
