Terumos 15:15

If terumah barley falls into a well of water, the water remains permitted even if the barley ruins its taste. This is because food that imparts a detrimental taste doesn’t create a prohibition.

Let’s say that fenugreek is terumah and the whole plant falls into a vat of wine. If the seeds alone are enough to impart flavor to the wine, then the wine is rendered prohibited to non-kohanim.
