3,350. Do the Dregs Count Towards the Volume of the Wine?

Terumos 13:8

Let’s say that a log* of clear terumah wine fell into 100 logs of cloudy secular wine. In such a case, we don’t subtract the dregs from volume of the wine. Rather, the log of terumah is nullified. Similarly, if a log of cloudy terumah wine fell into a 100 logs of clear secular wine, we don’t subtract the volume of the dregs.

Terumos 13:9

If a log of water falls into 99 logs of wine and then a log of terumah wine falls in, the mixture is rendered meduma because water doesn’t nullify wine.

*A log is a measure of liquid volume.
