3,328. Stray Remnants of Terumah
Terumos 11:14
When someone removes the terumah kernels from a grain pile, we don’t require him to meticulously gather the kernels individually and only then to stack regular grain there. Rather, he may sweep the area in the normal fashion, after which he may bring his regular grain there. Similarly, if a jug of terumah oil spills, we don't require him to mop it up until everything is completely dry. Rather, he can just act as one does when regular oil spills.
Terumos 11:15
When pouring terumah from a jug, one should keep pouring until the stream stops and the oil starts dripping a little at a time. When three drops have fallen in succession, one may then put regular oil in that jug. If one doesn’t put regular oil in the jug, but rather he leans it on its side until what’s left gathers together, then what’s left is terumah.
