3,327. Wheat Bran and Wine Dregs
Terumos 11:12
The fresh bran of (terumah) wheat is prohibited to non-kohanim because it’s fit for human consumption; the bran of old wheat is permitted. Bran is deemed fresh the whole time that people beat grain in the granaries.
Terumos 11:13
Inferior kernels of terumah and those that are going bad are prohibited to non-kohanim. If they have aged to the point that they leave a dusty residue, they are permitted. If one pours water over dregs of terumah (which flavors the water), the first two times are prohibited to non-kohanim, but the third is permitted. If, instead of pouring water over them, one strains wine off of the dregs, then even the third time is prohibited to non-kohanim.
