3,285. Eating Unclean Terumah
Terumos 7:3
A ritually clean kohein who ate ritually unclean terumah is not liable to lashes because he has violated a Torah obligation (rather than a prohibition). Leviticus 22:7 says, “Afterwards, he may eat from the sanctified” – i.e., after his purification he may eat food that is in a state of holiness, but he may not eat food in a state of impurity even after he has been purified. A prohibition derived from a Torah obligation is considered an obligation.
Terumos 7:4
If a kohein was eating terumah and he felt a seminal emission coming on, he should grasp the organ (to delay the emission) and swallow the terumah.
