Isaiah 35:10
וּפְדוּיֵי ה’ יְשֻׁבוּן וּבָאוּ צִיּוֹן בְּרִנָּה וְשִׂמְחַת עוֹלָם עַל רֹאשָׁם שָׂשׂוֹן וְשִׂמְחָה יַשִּׂיגוּ וְנָסוּ יָגוֹן וַאֲנָחָה
The ransomed ones of Hashem will return and will come with singing to Zion, and everlasting joy will be upon their heads; they will obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall run away.
The bracha of Din (justice) continues that restoring righteous leadership will take away our “sorrow and sighing,” a quote from this verse. Rashi explains the verse’s words “simchas olam” – typically translated as “everlasting joy” – to mean something else. He says it means the joy that the Jews experienced in bygone days, referring to the Exodus from Egypt, when G-d Himself led them in a pillar of His glory.
