Leviticus 14:22
וּשְׁתֵּי תֹרִים אוֹ שְׁנֵי בְּנֵי יוֹנָה אֲשֶׁר תַּשִּׂיג יָדוֹ וְהָיָה אֶחָד חַטָּאת וְהָאֶחָד עֹלָה
And two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, such as his means suffice. One shall be a sin offering and the other one a burnt offering.
The Torah says “echad chata’as” – “one will be a sin offering” – “v’ha’echad olah” – “and the one will be a burnt offering.” The letter hei before the second occurrence of the word “echad” serves no grammatic function. Accordingly, Onkelos omits it in his Aramaic translation and simplifies it to “one for a sin offering and one for a burnt offering.” (Onkelos makes similar such omissions throughout the chapter.)
