(יט) וַיַּ֥רְא יְהֹוָ֖ה וַיִּנְאָ֑ץ מִכַּ֥עַס בָּנָ֖יו וּבְנֹתָֽיו׃ (כ) וַיֹּ֗אמֶר אַסְתִּ֤ירָה פָנַי֙ מֵהֶ֔ם אֶרְאֶ֖ה מָ֣ה אַחֲרִיתָ֑ם               כִּ֣י ד֤וֹר תַּהְפֻּכֹת֙ הֵ֔מָּה בָּנִ֖ים לֹא־אֵמֻ֥ן בָּֽם׃ (כא) הֵ֚ם קִנְא֣וּנִי בְלֹא־אֵ֔ל כִּעֲס֖וּנִי בְּהַבְלֵיהֶ֑ם       וַאֲנִי֙ אַקְנִיאֵ֣ם בְּלֹא־עָ֔ם בְּג֥וֹי נָבָ֖ל אַכְעִיסֵֽם׃ (כב) כִּי־אֵשׁ֙ קָדְחָ֣ה בְאַפִּ֔י וַתִּיקַ֖ד עַד־שְׁא֣וֹל תַּחְתִּ֑ית       וַתֹּ֤אכַל אֶ֙רֶץ֙ וִֽיבֻלָ֔הּ וַתְּלַהֵ֖ט מוֹסְדֵ֥י הָרִֽים׃ (כג) אַסְפֶּ֥ה עָלֵ֖ימוֹ רָע֑וֹת חִצַּ֖י אֲכַלֶּה־בָּֽם׃ (כד) מְזֵ֥י רָעָ֛ב וּלְחֻ֥מֵי רֶ֖שֶׁף וְקֶ֣טֶב מְרִירִ֑י           וְשֶׁן־בְּהֵמֹת֙ אֲשַׁלַּח־בָּ֔ם עִם־חֲמַ֖ת זֹחֲלֵ֥י עָפָֽר׃ (כה) מִחוּץ֙ תְּשַׁכֶּל־חֶ֔רֶב וּמֵחֲדָרִ֖ים אֵימָ֑ה גַּם־בָּחוּר֙ גַּם־בְּתוּלָ֔ה יוֹנֵ֖ק עִם־אִ֥ישׁ שֵׂיבָֽה׃ (כו) אָמַ֖רְתִּי אַפְאֵיהֶ֑ם אַשְׁבִּ֥יתָה מֵאֱנ֖וֹשׁ זִכְרָֽם׃ (כז) לוּלֵ֗י כַּ֤עַס אוֹיֵב֙ אָג֔וּר פֶּֽן־יְנַכְּר֖וּ צָרֵ֑ימוֹ     פֶּן־יֹֽאמְרוּ֙ יָדֵ֣נוּ רָ֔מָה וְלֹ֥א יְהֹוָ֖ה פָּעַ֥ל כׇּל־זֹֽאת׃ (כח) כִּי־ג֛וֹי אֹבַ֥ד עֵצ֖וֹת הֵ֑מָּה וְאֵ֥ין בָּהֶ֖ם תְּבוּנָֽה׃

(יט) וּגֱלִי קֳדָם יְיָ וּתְקֵף רָגְזֵיהּ מִדְאַרְגִּיזוּ קָדָמוֹהִי בְּנִין וּבְנָן: (כ) וַאֲמַר אֱסַלֵק שְׁכִנְתִּי מִנְּהוֹן גֶּלִי קֳדָמַי מָא יְהֵי בְסוֹפֵיהוֹן אֲרֵי דָרָא דְאַשְׁנִיּוּ אִנּוּן בְּנַיָּא דִּלֵית בְּהוֹן הֵימָנוּ: (כא) אִנּוּן אַקְנִיאוּ קֳדָמַי בְּלָא דַחֲלָא אַרְגִּיזוּ קֳדָמַי בְּפָלְחַן טַעֲוָן וַאֲנָא אַקְנִנּוּן בְּלָא עַם בְּעַמָּא טַפְשָׁא אַרְגֵּזִנּוּן: (כב) אֲרֵי קִדּוּם תַּקִּיף כְּאֶשָּׁא נְפַק מִקֳּדָמַי בִּרְגַז וְשֵׁצֵי עַד שְׁאוֹל אֲרָעִית וְאָסֵף אַרְעָא וַעֲלַלְתַּהּ וְשֵׁצִיַּת עַד סְיָפֵי טוּרַיָּא: (כג) אָסֵף עֲלֵיהוֹן בִּישִׁין מַכְתָּשַׁי אֱשֵׁצֵי בְהוֹן: (כד) נִפִיחֵי כָפָן וַאֲכוּלֵי עוּף וּכְתִישֵׁי רוּחִין בִּישָׁן וְשֵׁן חֵיוַת בָּרָא אֱגָרֵי בְּהוֹן עִם חֲמַת תַּנִּינַיָּא דְּזָחֲלִין בְּעַפְרָא: (כה) מִבָּרָא תְּתַכֵּל חַרְבָּא וּמִתְּוָנַיָּא חַרְגַּת מוֹתָא אַף עוּלֵמֵיהוֹן אַף עוּלֵמָתְהוֹן יָנְקֵיהוֹן עִם אֱנַשׁ סָבֵיהוֹן: (כו) אֲמָרִית אֵחוּל רָגְזִי עֲלֵיהוֹן וֶאֱשֵׁצִנּוּן אֱבַטַּל מִבְּנֵי אֲנָשָׁא דּוּכְרָנֵיהוֹן: (כז) אִלּוּלָפוֹן רָגְזָא דְסָנְאָה כְּנִישׁ דִּילְמָא יִתְרַבְרַב בְּעֵל דְּבָבָא דִּילְמָא יֵימְרוּן יְדָנָא תְקִיפַת לָנָא וְלָא מִן קֳדָם יְיָ הֲוַת כָּל דָּא: (כח) אֲרֵי עַם מְאַבְּדֵי עֵצָה אִנּוּן וְלֵית בְּהוֹן סוּכְלְתָנוּ:

19. It was revealed before Hashem and His anger intensified because (…) sons and (…) daughters[1] stirred anger before Him. 20. He said, “I will remove My presence[2] from them; it is revealed before Me what will be in their end. Because they are a generation that changes – children with no faithfulness in them.[3] 21. They made zeal before Me with a non-object of worship,[4] they stirred anger before Me with (the) service of errors; and I will make them jealous with a non-people, I will anger them with a foolish[5] nation. 22. Because a strong east wind, like fire, went forth from before Me in anger and destroyed until the depths of Sheol.[6] It finished the earth and its produce, and destroyed to the ends of the mountains. 23. I will use up evils on them, My plagues will destroy among them: 24. Swollen (from) famine, devoured by birds, tormented by evil spirits,[7] and the teeth of animals of the forest I will loose against them, with the venom of the serpents that slither in the dust. 25. Outside, the sword will cause bereavement, and terror of death in the chambers; also youths, also maidens,[8] their suckling (infant)s with elderly men. 26. My anger will occur on them and I will destroy them;[9] I will make memory of them cease from mankind, 27. if it weren’t that (the) enemy’s anger was piled up, lest the adversary[10] extol (himself) and lest they say, “Our hand was strong for us, and it wasn’t from before Hashem (that) all this occurred!’” 28. Because they are a nation devoid of sense, and there is no understanding in them.
