(טו) רְאֵ֨ה נָתַ֤תִּי לְפָנֶ֙יךָ֙ הַיּ֔וֹם אֶת־הַֽחַיִּ֖ים וְאֶת־הַטּ֑וֹב וְאֶת־הַמָּ֖וֶת וְאֶת־הָרָֽע׃ (טז) אֲשֶׁ֨ר אָנֹכִ֣י מְצַוְּךָ֮ הַיּוֹם֒ לְאַהֲבָ֞ה אֶת־יְהֹוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ לָלֶ֣כֶת בִּדְרָכָ֔יו וְלִשְׁמֹ֛ר מִצְוֺתָ֥יו וְחֻקֹּתָ֖יו וּמִשְׁפָּטָ֑יו וְחָיִ֣יתָ וְרָבִ֔יתָ וּבֵֽרַכְךָ֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ בָּאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־אַתָּ֥ה בָא־שָׁ֖מָּה לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃ (יז) וְאִם־יִפְנֶ֥ה לְבָבְךָ֖ וְלֹ֣א תִשְׁמָ֑ע וְנִדַּחְתָּ֗ וְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוִ֛יתָ לֵאלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִ֖ים וַעֲבַדְתָּֽם׃ (יח) הִגַּ֤דְתִּי לָכֶם֙ הַיּ֔וֹם כִּ֥י אָבֹ֖ד תֹּאבֵד֑וּן לֹא־תַאֲרִיכֻ֤ן יָמִים֙ עַל־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר אַתָּ֤ה עֹבֵר֙ אֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן לָב֥וֹא שָׁ֖מָּה לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃ (יט) הַעִדֹ֨תִי בָכֶ֣ם הַיּוֹם֮ אֶת־הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם וְאֶת־הָאָ֒רֶץ֒ הַחַיִּ֤ים וְהַמָּ֙וֶת֙ נָתַ֣תִּי לְפָנֶ֔יךָ הַבְּרָכָ֖ה וְהַקְּלָלָ֑ה וּבָֽחַרְתָּ֙ בַּחַיִּ֔ים לְמַ֥עַן תִּֽחְיֶ֖ה אַתָּ֥ה וְזַרְעֶֽךָ׃ (כ) לְאַֽהֲבָה֙ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ לִשְׁמֹ֥עַ בְּקֹל֖וֹ וּלְדׇבְקָה־ב֑וֹ כִּ֣י ה֤וּא חַיֶּ֙יךָ֙ וְאֹ֣רֶךְ יָמֶ֔יךָ לָשֶׁ֣בֶת עַל־הָאֲדָמָ֗ה אֲשֶׁר֩ נִשְׁבַּ֨ע יְהֹוָ֧ה לַאֲבֹתֶ֛יךָ לְאַבְרָהָ֛ם לְיִצְחָ֥ק וּֽלְיַעֲקֹ֖ב לָתֵ֥ת לָהֶֽם׃ {פ}
(טו) חֲזֵי דִיהָבִית קֳדָמָךְ יוֹמָא דֵין יָת חַיֵּי וְיָת טַבְתָא וְיָת מוֹתָא וְיָת בִּישָׁא: (טז) דִּי אֲנָא מְפַקְּדָךְ יוֹמָא דֵין לְמִרְחַם יָת יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ לִמְהַךְ בְּאָרְחָן דְּתָקְנָן קֳדָמוֹהִי וּלְמִטַּר פִּקּוּדוֹהִי וּקְיָמוֹהִי וְדִינוֹהִי וְתֵיחֵי וְתִסְגֵּי וִיבָרֵכִנָּךְ יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ בְּאַרְעָא דִּי אַתְּ עָלֵל לְתַמָּן לְמֵירְתַהּ: (יז) וְאִם יִפְנֵי לִבָּךְ וְלָא תְקַבֵּל וְתִטְעֵי וְתִסְגּוּד לְטַעֲוַת עַמְמַיָּא וְתִפְלְחִנּוּן: (יח) חַוֵּיתִי לְכוֹן יוֹמָא דֵין אֲרֵי מֵיבַד תֵּיבְדוּן לָא תוֹרְכוֹן יוֹמִין עַל אַרְעָא דִּי אַתְּ עָבֵר יָת יַרְדְּנָא לְמֵעַל לְתַמָּן לְמֵירְתַהּ: (יט) אַסְהֵדִית בְּכוֹן יוֹמָא דֵין יָת שְׁמַיָּא וְיָת אַרְעָא חַיֵּי וּמוֹתָא יְהָבִית קֳדָמָךְ בִּרְכָן וּלְוָטִין וְתִתִּרְעֵי בְּחַיֵּי בְּדִיל דְּתֵיחֵי אַתְּ וּבְנָיךְ: (כ) לְמִרְחַם יָת יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ לְקַבָּלָא לְמֵימְרֵיהּ וּלְאִתְקָרָבָא לְדַחַלְתֵּיהּ אֲרֵי הוּא חַיָּיךְ וְאוֹרָכוּת יוֹמָיךְ לְמִתַּב עַל אַרְעָא דִּי קַיִּים יְיָ לַאֲבָהָתָךְ לְאַבְרָהָם לְיִצְחָק וּלְיַעֲקֹב לְמִתַּן לְהוֹן:
15. See that I place before you today the life and the goodness, and the death and the evil. 16. That I command you today to love Hashem your God, to walk in ways that are correct before Him, and to observe His commandments, and His statutes and His laws, and you will live and you will increase, and Hashem your God will bless you in the land that you come there to inherit. 17. And if your heart turns and you don’t accept, and you stray[1] and you bow to the errors of the nations and serve them, 18. I tell you today that you will surely perish; you will not extend days on the land that you cross the Jordan to come there and inherit. 19. I call heaven and earth today to witness against you: I have placed the life and the death before you, the blessings and the curses. Favor life in order that you and your descendants will live, 20. to love Hashem your God, to accept His word, and to draw near to reverence for Him,[2] because He is your life and the length of your days to dwell upon the land that Hashem swore to your fathers – to Avraham, to Yitzchak and to Yaakov – to give to them.”
