Chapter 29
(א) וַיִּקְרָ֥א מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶל־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֑ם אַתֶּ֣ם רְאִיתֶ֗ם אֵ֣ת כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר֩ עָשָׂ֨ה יְהֹוָ֤ה לְעֵֽינֵיכֶם֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם לְפַרְעֹ֥ה וּלְכׇל־עֲבָדָ֖יו וּלְכׇל־אַרְצֽוֹ׃ (ב) הַמַּסּוֹת֙ הַגְּדֹלֹ֔ת אֲשֶׁ֥ר רָא֖וּ עֵינֶ֑יךָ הָאֹתֹ֧ת וְהַמֹּפְתִ֛ים הַגְּדֹלִ֖ים הָהֵֽם׃ (ג) וְלֹא־נָתַן֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה לָכֶ֥ם לֵב֙ לָדַ֔עַת וְעֵינַ֥יִם לִרְא֖וֹת וְאׇזְנַ֣יִם לִשְׁמֹ֑עַ עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ (ד) וָאוֹלֵ֥ךְ אֶתְכֶ֛ם אַרְבָּעִ֥ים שָׁנָ֖ה בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר לֹֽא־בָל֤וּ שַׂלְמֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ מֵעֲלֵיכֶ֔ם וְנַעַלְךָ֥ לֹֽא־בָלְתָ֖ה מֵעַ֥ל רַגְלֶֽךָ׃ (ה) לֶ֚חֶם לֹ֣א אֲכַלְתֶּ֔ם וְיַ֥יִן וְשֵׁכָ֖ר לֹ֣א שְׁתִיתֶ֑ם לְמַ֙עַן֙ תֵּֽדְע֔וּ כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃ (ו) וַתָּבֹ֖אוּ אֶל־הַמָּק֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וַיֵּצֵ֣א סִיחֹ֣ן מֶֽלֶךְ־חֶ֠שְׁבּ֠וֹן וְע֨וֹג מֶלֶךְ־הַבָּשָׁ֧ן לִקְרָאתֵ֛נוּ לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה וַנַּכֵּֽם׃ (ז) וַנִּקַּח֙ אֶת־אַרְצָ֔ם וַנִּתְּנָ֣הּ לְנַחֲלָ֔ה לָראוּבֵנִ֖י וְלַגָּדִ֑י וְלַחֲצִ֖י שֵׁ֥בֶט הַֽמְנַשִּֽׁי׃ (ח) וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֗ם אֶת־דִּבְרֵי֙ הַבְּרִ֣ית הַזֹּ֔את וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם אֹתָ֑ם לְמַ֣עַן תַּשְׂכִּ֔ילוּ אֵ֖ת כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּעֲשֽׂוּן׃ {פ}
(א) וּקְרָא משֶׁה לְכָל יִשְׂרָאֵל וַאֲמַר לְהוֹן אַתּוּן חֲזֵתוּן יָת כָּל דִּי עֲבַד יְיָ לְעֵינֵיכוֹן בְּאַרְעָא דְמִצְרַיִם לְפַרְעֹה וּלְכָל עַבְדוֹהִי וּלְכָל אַרְעֵיהּ: (ב) נִסֵּי רַבְרְבַיָּא דִּי חֲזָאָה עֵינָיךְ אָתַיָּא וּמוֹפְתַיָּא רַבְרְבַיָּא הָאִנּוּן: (ג) וְלָא יְהַב יְיָ לְכוֹן לִבָּא לְמִדַּע וְעַיְנִין לְמֶחֱזֵי וְאֻדְנִין לְמִשְׁמַע עַד יוֹמָא הָדֵין: (ד) וְדַבָּרִית יָתְכוֹן אַרְבְּעִין שְׁנִין בְּמַדְבְּרָא לָא בְלִיאַת כְּסוּתְכוֹן מִנְּכוֹן וּמְסָנָךְ לָא עֲדוֹ מֵעַל רַגְלָךְ: (ה) לַחְמָא לָא אֲכַלְתּוּן וַחֲמַר חֲדַת וְעַתִּיק לָא שְׁתֵיתוּן בְּדִיל דְּתִדְּעוּן אֲרֵי אֲנָא יְיָ אֱלָהֲכוֹן: (ו) וַאֲתֵתוּן לְאַתְרָא הָדֵין וּנְפַק סִיחוֹן מַלְכָּא דְחֶשְׁבּוֹן וְעוֹג מַלְכָּא דְמַתְנָן לָקֳדָמוּתָנָא לַאֲגָחָא קְרָבָא וּמְחוֹנוּן: (ז) וּנְסִבְנָא יָת אַרְעֲהוֹן וִיהָבִנַּהּ לְאַחֲסָנָא לְשִׁבְטָא דִרְאוּבֵן וּלְשִׁבְטָא דְגָד וּלְפַלְגּוּת שִׁבְטָא דִמְנַשֶּׁה: (ח) וְתִטְּרוּן יָת פִּתְגָּמֵי קְיָמָא הָדָא וְתַעְבְּדוּן יָתְהוֹן בְּדִיל דְּתִצְלְחוּן יָת כָּל דִּי תַעְבְּדוּן:
1. Moshe called to all Israel. He said to them,[1] “You have seen all that Hashem did before your eyes in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land – 2. the great miracles[2] that your eyes saw, the signs and those great wonders. 3. And Hashem has not given you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear until this very day. 4. I led you (for) 40 years in the wilderness; your garment[3] did not wear out from you,[4] and your shoes did not pass away from upon your feet. 5. You didn’t eat bread and you didn’t drink new and aged wine[5] in order that you would know that I am Hashem your God. 6. You came to this place, and Sichon, king of Cheshbon, came out, and Og, king of Masnan,[6] to meet us to fight a war, and we struck them. 7. We took their land and we gave it as an inheritance to the tribe of Reuven, and to the tribe of Gad, and to half the tribe of Menashe.[7] 8. You shall observe the words of this covenant and perform them in order that you will succeed (in) all that you do.
