(יב) כִּ֣י תְכַלֶּ֞ה לַ֠עְשֵׂ֠ר אֶת־כׇּל־מַעְשַׂ֧ר תְּבוּאָתְךָ֛ בַּשָּׁנָ֥ה הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֖ת שְׁנַ֣ת הַֽמַּעֲשֵׂ֑ר וְנָתַתָּ֣ה לַלֵּוִ֗י לַגֵּר֙ לַיָּת֣וֹם וְלָֽאַלְמָנָ֔ה וְאָכְל֥וּ בִשְׁעָרֶ֖יךָ וְשָׂבֵֽעוּ׃ (יג) וְאָמַרְתָּ֡ לִפְנֵי֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה אֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ בִּעַ֧רְתִּי הַקֹּ֣דֶשׁ מִן־הַבַּ֗יִת וְגַ֨ם נְתַתִּ֤יו לַלֵּוִי֙ וְלַגֵּר֙ לַיָּת֣וֹם וְלָאַלְמָנָ֔ה כְּכׇל־מִצְוָתְךָ֖ אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוִּיתָ֑נִי לֹֽא־עָבַ֥רְתִּי מִמִּצְוֺתֶ֖יךָ וְלֹ֥א שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃ (יד) לֹא־אָכַ֨לְתִּי בְאֹנִ֜י מִמֶּ֗נּוּ וְלֹא־בִעַ֤רְתִּי מִמֶּ֙נּוּ֙ בְּטָמֵ֔א וְלֹא־נָתַ֥תִּי מִמֶּ֖נּוּ לְמֵ֑ת שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי בְּקוֹל֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֔י עָשִׂ֕יתִי כְּכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוִּיתָֽנִי׃ (טו) הַשְׁקִ֩יפָה֩ מִמְּע֨וֹן קׇדְשְׁךָ֜ מִן־הַשָּׁמַ֗יִם וּבָרֵ֤ךְ אֶֽת־עַמְּךָ֙ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְאֵת֙ הָאֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תָּה לָ֑נוּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר נִשְׁבַּ֙עְתָּ֙ לַאֲבֹתֵ֔ינוּ אֶ֛רֶץ זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֖ב וּדְבָֽשׁ׃ {ס}
(יב) אֲרֵי תְשֵׁצֵי לְעַשָּׂרָא יָת כָּל מַעֲשַׂר עֲלַלְתָּךְ בְּשַׁתָּא תְלִיתָאָה שְׁנַת מַעְשְׂרָא וְתִתֵּן לְלֵוָאֵי לְגִיּוֹרָא לְיִתַּמָּא וּלְאַרְמְלָא וְיֵכְלוּן בְּקִרְוָיךְ וְיִשְׂבְּעוּן: (יג) וְתֵימַר קֳדָם יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ פַּלֵּתִי קֹדֶשׁ מַעְשְׂרָא מִן בֵּיתָא וְאַף יְהָבִתֵּיהּ לְלֵוָאֵי וּלְגִיּוֹרָא לְיִתַּמָּא וּלְאַרְמְלָא כְּכָל פִּקּוּדָךְ דִּי פַקִּדְתַּנִי לָא עֲבָרִית מִפִּקּוּדָיךְ וְלָא אִתִּנְשֵׁיתִי: (יד) לָא אֲכָלִית בְּאֶבְלִי מִנֵּיהּ וְלָא פַלֵּתִי מִנֵּיהּ בְּדִמְסָאָב וְלָא יְהָבִית מִנֵּיהּ לְמִית קַבֵּלִית לְמֵימְרָא דַּיְיָ אֱלָהָי עֲבָדִית כְּכֹל דִּי פַקִּדְתַּנִי: (טו) אִסְתְּכִי מִמְּדוֹר קָדְשָׁךְ מִן שְׁמַיָּא וּבָרֵךְ יָת עַמָּךְ יָת יִשְׂרָאֵל וְיָת אַרְעָא דִּי יְהַבְתְּ לָנָא כְּמָא דִי קַיֶּמְתָּא לַאֲבָהָתָנָא אֲרַע עָבְדָא חֲלַב וּדְבָשׁ:
12. When you conclude to tithe every tenth of your produce in the third year, the year of the tithe, and have given (it) to the Levite, to the convert, to the orphan and to the widow, and they eat in your cities[1] and are satisfied, 13. you shall say before Hashem your God, ‘I have removed the holy – the tithe – from the house, and also I have given it to the Levite, and to the convert, to the orphan and to the widow according to all Your commandment that You commanded me. I have not transgressed from Your commandments and I have not forgotten (them). 14. I didn’t eat from it in mourning,[2] and I didn’t exchange any of it for impurity, and I haven’t given from it to the dead. I accepted the word of Hashem my God; I have done according to all that You commanded me. 15. Look down from Your holy abode, from the heavens, and bless Your people – Israel – and the ground that You have given us, as You swore to our fathers: a land that generates milk and honey.

[2] Onkelos chooses a word for mourning reflecting aveilus, rather than the Chumash’s word, which reflects aninus, an earlier stage of bereavement.
