(י) וַיִּסְע֖וּ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּאֹבֹֽת׃ (יא) וַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵאֹבֹ֑ת וַֽיַּחֲנ֞וּ בְּעִיֵּ֣י הָֽעֲבָרִ֗ים בַּמִּדְבָּר֙ אֲשֶׁר֙ עַל־פְּנֵ֣י מוֹאָ֔ב מִמִּזְרַ֖ח הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃ (יב) מִשָּׁ֖ם נָסָ֑עוּ וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּנַ֥חַל זָֽרֶד׃ (יג) מִשָּׁם֮ נָסָ֒עוּ֒ וַֽיַּחֲנ֗וּ מֵעֵ֤בֶר אַרְנוֹן֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר הַיֹּצֵ֖א מִגְּבֻ֣ל הָֽאֱמֹרִ֑י כִּ֤י אַרְנוֹן֙ גְּב֣וּל מוֹאָ֔ב בֵּ֥ין מוֹאָ֖ב וּבֵ֥ין הָאֱמֹרִֽי׃ (יד) עַל־כֵּן֙ יֵֽאָמַ֔ר בְּסֵ֖פֶר מִלְחֲמֹ֣ת יְהֹוָ֑ה אֶת־וָהֵ֣ב בְּסוּפָ֔ה וְאֶת־הַנְּחָלִ֖ים אַרְנֽוֹן׃ (טו) וְאֶ֙שֶׁד֙ הַנְּחָלִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָטָ֖ה לְשֶׁ֣בֶת עָ֑ר וְנִשְׁעַ֖ן לִגְב֥וּל מוֹאָֽב׃ (טז) וּמִשָּׁ֖ם בְּאֵ֑רָה הִ֣וא הַבְּאֵ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֨ר אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ לְמֹשֶׁ֔ה אֱסֹף֙ אֶת־הָעָ֔ם וְאֶתְּנָ֥ה לָהֶ֖ם מָֽיִם׃ {ס}
(י) וּנְטָלוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּשְׁרוֹ בְּאֹבֹת: (יא) וּנְטָלוּ מֵאֹבֹת וּשְׁרוֹ בִּמְגִיזַת עֲבָרָאֵי בְּמַדְבְּרָא דִּי עַל אַפֵּי מוֹאָב מִמַּדְנַח שִׁמְשָׁא: (יב) מִתַּמָּן נְטָלוּ וּשְׁרוֹ בְּנַחֲלָא דְזָרֶד: (יג) מִתַּמָּן נְטָלוּ וּשְׁרוֹ מֵעִבְרָא דְאַרְנוֹן דִּי בְמַדְבְּרָא דְּנָפֵק מִתְּחוּם אֱמוֹרָאָה אֲרֵי אַרְנוֹן תְּחוּם מוֹאָב בֵּין מוֹאָב וּבֵין אֱמוֹרָאָה: (יד) עַל כֵּן יִתְאַמַּר בְּסִפְרָא קְרָבִין דַּעֲבַד יְיָ עַל יַמָּא דְסוּף וּגְבוּרַן דְּעַל נַחֲלֵי אַרְנוֹן: (טו) וְשָׁפוּךְ נַחֲלַיָּא דְּמִדַּבְּרִין לָקֳבֵל לְחַיָּת וּמִסְתְּמִיךְ לִתְחוּם מוֹאָב: (טז) וּמִתַּמָּן אִתְיְהִיבַת לְהוֹן בֵּירָא הִיא בֵירָא דִּי אֲמַר יְיָ לְמשֶׁה כְּנוֹשׁ יָת עַמָּא וְאֶתֵּן לְהוֹן מַיָּא:
10. The children of Israel traveled and they camped on Ovos. 11. They traveled from Ovos and camped at the Avarim pass in the wilderness that was facing Moav towards the rising sun. 12. From there they traveled and camped in the Zared valley. 13. From there they traveled and camped on the other side of Arnon, which is in the wilderness that goes from the Emorite border, because Arnon is the border of Moav, between Moav and the Emorites.[1] 14. Therefore it says in the book,[2] “The wars that Hashem made at the Red Sea and the mighty deeds at the Arnon streams.” 15. And the flow of the streams that stretched towards L’chayas,[3] and leans to the border of Moav.” 16. And from there a well was given to them – that is the well where Hashem said to Moshe, “Gather the people and I will give them water.”
(יז) אָ֚ז יָשִׁ֣יר יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶת־הַשִּׁירָ֖ה הַזֹּ֑את עֲלִ֥י בְאֵ֖ר עֱנוּ־לָֽהּ׃ (יח) בְּאֵ֞ר חֲפָר֣וּהָ שָׂרִ֗ים כָּר֙וּהָ֙ נְדִיבֵ֣י הָעָ֔ם בִּמְחֹקֵ֖ק בְּמִשְׁעֲנֹתָ֑ם וּמִמִּדְבָּ֖ר מַתָּנָֽה׃ (יט) וּמִמַּתָּנָ֖ה נַחֲלִיאֵ֑ל וּמִנַּחֲלִיאֵ֖ל בָּמֽוֹת׃ (כ) וּמִבָּמ֗וֹת הַגַּיְא֙ אֲשֶׁר֙ בִּשְׂדֵ֣ה מוֹאָ֔ב רֹ֖אשׁ הַפִּסְגָּ֑ה וְנִשְׁקָ֖פָה עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הַיְשִׁימֹֽן׃ {פ}
(יז) בְּכֵן שַׁבַּח יִשְׂרָאֵל יָת תּוּשְׁבַּחְתָּא הָדָא סַקִּי בֵירָא שַׁבָּחוּ לָהּ: (יח) בֵּירָא דְּחָפְרוּהָ רַבְרְבַיָּא כְּרוּהָ רֵישֵׁי עַמָּא סַפְרַיָּא בְּחוּטְרֵיהוֹן וּמִמַּדְבְּרָא אִתְיְהִיבַת לְהוֹן: (יט) וּמִדְּאִתְיְהִיבַת לְהוֹן נָחֲתָא עִמְּהוֹן לְנַחֲלַיָּא וּמִנַחֲלַיָּא סָלְקָא עִמְּהוֹן לְרָמָתָא: (כ) וּמֵרָמָתָא לְחֵילַיָּא דִּי בְּחַקְלֵי מוֹאָב רֵישׁ רָמָתָא וּמִסְתַּכְיָא עַל אַפֵּי בֵית יְשִׁימוֹן:
17. Then Israel sang this praise:[4] Ascend, well; sing to it! 18. The well that the leaders[5] dug, the heads of the people carved, scholars with their staffs, and from the wilderness it was given to them.[6] 19. And from when it was given to them it went down with them to the valleys, and from the valleys it went up with them to the heights, 20. and from the heights to the valleys that are in the fields of Moav, on the top of the peak, overlooking the face of the wasteland place.[7]
