(כ) וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְאֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֖ן לֵאמֹֽר׃ (כא) הִבָּ֣דְל֔וּ מִתּ֖וֹךְ הָעֵדָ֣ה הַזֹּ֑את וַאֲכַלֶּ֥ה אֹתָ֖ם כְּרָֽגַע׃ (כב) וַיִּפְּל֤וּ עַל־פְּנֵיהֶם֙ וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ אֵ֕ל אֱלֹהֵ֥י הָרוּחֹ֖ת לְכׇל־בָּשָׂ֑ר הָאִ֤ישׁ אֶחָד֙ יֶחֱטָ֔א וְעַ֥ל כׇּל־הָעֵדָ֖ה תִּקְצֹֽף׃ {ס}
(כ) וּמַלִּיל יְיָ עִם משֶׁה וְעִם אַהֲרֹן לְמֵימָר: (כא) אִתְּפְּרָשׁוּ מִגּוֹ כְּנִשְׁתָּא הָדָא וְאֵשֵׁצֵי יָתְהוֹן כְּשָׁעָה: (כב) וּנְפָלוּ עַל אַפֵּיהוֹן וַאֲמָרוּ אֵל אֱלָהָא רוּחַיָּא לְכָל בִּשְׂרָא גַּבְרָא חַד יֵחוֹב וְעַל כָּל כְּנִשְׁתָּא יְהֵי רוּגְזָא:
20. Hashem spoke with Moshe and to Aharon, saying, 21. “Separate from among this congregation and I will destroy them in an instant!” 22. They fell on their faces and they said, “God, God of the spirits of all flesh! If one man sins, will there be anger[1] with the entire congregation?”
(כג) וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ (כד) דַּבֵּ֥ר אֶל־הָעֵדָ֖ה לֵאמֹ֑ר הֵֽעָלוּ֙ מִסָּבִ֔יב לְמִשְׁכַּן־קֹ֖רַח דָּתָ֥ן וַאֲבִירָֽם׃ (כה) וַיָּ֣קׇם מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ אֶל־דָּתָ֣ן וַאֲבִירָ֑ם וַיֵּלְכ֥וּ אַחֲרָ֖יו זִקְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ (כו) וַיְדַבֵּ֨ר אֶל־הָעֵדָ֜ה לֵאמֹ֗ר ס֣וּרוּ נָ֡א מֵעַל֩ אׇהֳלֵ֨י הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים הָֽרְשָׁעִים֙ הָאֵ֔לֶּה וְאַֽל־תִּגְּע֖וּ בְּכׇל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָהֶ֑ם פֶּן־תִּסָּפ֖וּ בְּכׇל־חַטֹּאתָֽם׃ (כז) וַיֵּעָל֗וּ מֵעַ֧ל מִשְׁכַּן־קֹ֛רַח דָּתָ֥ן וַאֲבִירָ֖ם מִסָּבִ֑יב וְדָתָ֨ן וַאֲבִירָ֜ם יָצְא֣וּ נִצָּבִ֗ים פֶּ֚תַח אׇֽהֳלֵיהֶ֔ם וּנְשֵׁיהֶ֥ם וּבְנֵיהֶ֖ם וְטַפָּֽם׃ (כח) וַיֹּ֘אמֶר֮ מֹשֶׁה֒ בְּזֹאת֙ תֵּֽדְע֔וּן כִּֽי־יְהֹוָ֣ה שְׁלָחַ֔נִי לַעֲשׂ֕וֹת אֵ֥ת כׇּל־הַֽמַּעֲשִׂ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה כִּי־לֹ֖א מִלִּבִּֽי׃ (כט) אִם־כְּמ֤וֹת כׇּל־הָֽאָדָם֙ יְמֻת֣וּן אֵ֔לֶּה וּפְקֻדַּת֙ כׇּל־הָ֣אָדָ֔ם יִפָּקֵ֖ד עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם לֹ֥א יְהֹוָ֖ה שְׁלָחָֽנִי׃ (ל) וְאִם־בְּרִיאָ֞ה יִבְרָ֣א יְהֹוָ֗ה וּפָצְתָ֨ה הָאֲדָמָ֤ה אֶת־פִּ֙יהָ֙ וּבָלְעָ֤ה אֹתָם֙ וְאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָהֶ֔ם וְיָרְד֥וּ חַיִּ֖ים שְׁאֹ֑לָה וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם כִּ֧י נִֽאֲצ֛וּ הָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה׃ (לא) וַיְהִי֙ כְּכַלֹּת֔וֹ לְדַבֵּ֕ר אֵ֥ת כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה וַתִּבָּקַ֥ע הָאֲדָמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּחְתֵּיהֶֽם׃ (לב) וַתִּפְתַּ֤ח הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אֶת־פִּ֔יהָ וַתִּבְלַ֥ע אֹתָ֖ם וְאֶת־בָּתֵּיהֶ֑ם וְאֵ֤ת כׇּל־הָאָדָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לְקֹ֔רַח וְאֵ֖ת כׇּל־הָרְכֽוּשׁ׃ (לג) וַיֵּ֨רְד֜וּ הֵ֣ם וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר לָהֶ֛ם חַיִּ֖ים שְׁאֹ֑לָה וַתְּכַ֤ס עֲלֵיהֶם֙ הָאָ֔רֶץ וַיֹּאבְד֖וּ מִתּ֥וֹךְ הַקָּהָֽל׃ (לד) וְכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל אֲשֶׁ֛ר סְבִיבֹתֵיהֶ֖ם נָ֣סוּ לְקֹלָ֑ם כִּ֣י אָֽמְר֔וּ פֶּן־תִּבְלָעֵ֖נוּ הָאָֽרֶץ׃ (לה) וְאֵ֥שׁ יָצְאָ֖ה מֵאֵ֣ת יְהֹוָ֑ה וַתֹּ֗אכַל אֵ֣ת הַחֲמִשִּׁ֤ים וּמָאתַ֙יִם֙ אִ֔ישׁ מַקְרִיבֵ֖י הַקְּטֹֽרֶת׃ {ס}
(כג) וּמַלֵּיל יְיָ עִם משֶׁה לְמֵימָר: (כד) מַלֵּל עִם כְּנִשְׁתָּא לְמֵימָר אִסְתַּלָּקוּ מִסְּחוֹר סְחוֹר לְמַשְׁכְּנָא דְקֹרַח דָּתָן וַאֲבִירָם: (כה) וְקָם משֶׁה וַאֲזַל לְוָת דָּתָן וַאֲבִירָם וַאֲזָלוּ בַתְרוֹהִי סָבֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל: (כו) וּמַלִּיל עִם כְּנִשְׁתָּא לְמֵימָר זוּרוּ כְעַן מֵעִלָּוֵי מַשְׁכְּנֵי גֻּבְרַיָּא חַיָּבַיָּא הָאִלֵּין וְלָא תִקְרְבוּן בְּכָל דִּי לְהוֹן דִּלְמָא תִלְקוּן בְּכָל חוֹבֵיהוֹן: (כז) וְאִסְתַּלָּקוּ מֵעִלָּוֵי מַשְׁכְּנָא דְקֹרַח דָּתָן וַאֲבִירָם מִסְּחוֹר סְחוֹר וְדָתָן וַאֲבִירָם נְפָקוּ קַיְּמִין בִּתְרַע מַשְׁכְּנֵיהוֹן וּנְשֵׁיהוֹן וּבְנֵיהוֹן וְטַפְלְהוֹן: (כח) וַאֲמַר משֶׁה בְּדָא תִדְּעוּן אֲרֵי יְיָ שַׁלְּחַנִּי לְמֶעְבַּד יָת כָּל עוֹבָדַיָּא הָאִלֵּין אֲרֵי לָא מֵרְעוּתִי: (כט) אִם כְּמוֹתָא דְכָל אֱנָשָׁא יְמוּתוּן אִלֵּין וּסְעָרָא דְּכָל אֶנָשָׁא יִסְתְּעַר עֲלֵיהוֹן לָא יְיָ שַׁלְּחַנִּי: (ל) וְאִם בְּרִיאָה יִבְרֵי יְיָ וּפְתָחַת אַרְעָא יָת פּוּמַהּ וּבְלָעַת יָתְהוֹן וְיָת כָּל דִּי לְהוֹן וְיֶחֱתוּן כַּד חַיִּין לִשְׁאוֹל וְתִדְּעוּן אֲרֵי אַרְגִּיזוּ גֻּבְרַיָּא הָאִלֵּין קֳדָם יְיָ: (לא) וַהֲוָה כַּד שֵׁצֵי לְמַלָּלָא יָת כָּל פִּתְגָּמַיָּא הָאִלֵּין וְאִתְבְּזָעַת אַרְעָא דִּי תְחוֹתֵיהוֹן: (לב) וּפְתָחַת אַרְעָא יָת פּוּמַהּ וּבְלָעַת יָתְהוֹן וְיָת אֱנַשׁ בָּתֵּיהוֹן וְיָת כָּל אֱנָשָׁא דִּי לְקֹרַח וְיָת כָּל קִנְיָנָא: (לג) וּנְחָתוּ אִנּוּן וְכָל דִּי לְהוֹן כַּד חַיִּין לִשְׁאוֹל וַחֲפַת עֲלֵיהוֹן אַרְעָא וַאֲבָדוּ מִגּוֹ קְהָלָא: (לד) וְכָל יִשְׂרָאֵל דִּי בְּסַחֲרָנֵיהוֹן עֲרָקוּ לְקָלְהוֹן אֲרֵי אֲמָרוּ דִּלְמָא תִבְלְעִנָּנָא אַרְעָא: (לה) וְאֶשָּׁתָא נְפָקַת מִן קֳדָם יְיָ וַאֲכָלַת יָת מָאתָן וְחַמְשִׁין גַּבְרָא מְקָרְבֵי קְטֹרֶת בּוּסְמַיָּא:
23. Hashem spoke with Moshe, saying, 24. “Speak with the congregation, saying: Withdraw from around the dwelling of Korach, Dasan and Aviram.” 25. Moshe arose; he went to Dasan and Aviram, and the elders of Israel went after him. 26. He spoke to the congregation, saying, “Please get away from the dwellings[2] of these guilty[3] men and don’t touch anything that is theirs lest you be struck[4] in all their sins.” 27. They withdrew from around the dwelling(s) of Korach, Dasan and Aviram. And Dasan and Aviram came out and stood at the entrance of their tents, and their wives, and their children and their infants. 28. Moshe said, “By this you will know that Hashem sent me to do all these deeds, that they are not from my desire:[5] 29. if these die like the death of all people, and what happens to them is like what happens to all people, it wasn’t Hashem who sent me. 30. And if Hashem will create a creation and the ground opens its mouth and swallows them and all that is theirs, and they go down while alive to Sheol,[6] you shall know that these men angered Hashem.” 31. It happened as he finished speaking all these words (that) the ground that was under them split. 32. The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and the people of their houses, and all the people who were for Korach and all their wealth. 33. They and all that was theirs went down while alive to Sheol. The earth covered over them and they vanished from among the community. 34. All Israel who were around them fled at their voices, for they said, “Lest the earth swallow us!” 35. A fire went out from before Hashem and consumed the 250 men who offered the spice incense.
Chapter 17
(א) וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ (ב) אֱמֹ֨ר אֶל־אֶלְעָזָ֜ר בֶּן־אַהֲרֹ֣ן הַכֹּהֵ֗ן וְיָרֵ֤ם אֶת־הַמַּחְתֹּת֙ מִבֵּ֣ין הַשְּׂרֵפָ֔ה וְאֶת־הָאֵ֖שׁ זְרֵה־הָ֑לְאָה כִּ֖י קָדֵֽשׁוּ׃ (ג) אֵ֡ת מַחְתּוֹת֩ הַֽחַטָּאִ֨ים הָאֵ֜לֶּה בְּנַפְשֹׁתָ֗ם וְעָשׂ֨וּ אֹתָ֜ם רִקֻּעֵ֤י פַחִים֙ צִפּ֣וּי לַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ כִּֽי־הִקְרִיבֻ֥ם לִפְנֵֽי־יְהֹוָ֖ה וַיִּקְדָּ֑שׁוּ וְיִֽהְי֥וּ לְא֖וֹת לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ (ד) וַיִּקַּ֞ח אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֗ן אֵ֚ת מַחְתּ֣וֹת הַנְּחֹ֔שֶׁת אֲשֶׁ֥ר הִקְרִ֖יבוּ הַשְּׂרֻפִ֑ים וַֽיְרַקְּע֖וּם צִפּ֥וּי לַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ (ה) זִכָּר֞וֹן לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל לְ֠מַ֠עַן אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹֽא־יִקְרַ֜ב אִ֣ישׁ זָ֗ר אֲ֠שֶׁ֠ר לֹ֣א מִזֶּ֤רַע אַהֲרֹן֙ ה֔וּא לְהַקְטִ֥יר קְטֹ֖רֶת לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה וְלֹֽא־יִהְיֶ֤ה כְקֹ֙רַח֙ וְכַ֣עֲדָת֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֧ר יְהֹוָ֛ה בְּיַד־מֹשֶׁ֖ה לֽוֹ׃ {פ}
(א) וּמַלִּיל יְיָ עִם משֶׁה לְמֵימָר: (ב) אֲמַר לְאֶלְעָזָר בַּר אַהֲרֹן כַּהֲנָא וְיַפְרֵשׁ יָת מַחְתְּיָתָא מִבֵּין יְקִידַיָּא וְיָת אֶשָּׁתָא יַרְחֵק לְהָלָא אֲרֵי אִתְקַדָּשׁוּ: (ג) יָת מַחְתְּיַת חַיָּבַיָּא הָאִלֵּין דְּאִתְחַיָּבוּ בְּנַפְשָׁתֵיהוֹן וְיַעְבְּדוּן יָתְהֵן טַסִּין רַדִּידִין חוֹפָאָה לְמַדְבְּחָא אֲרֵי קָרֵבֻנּוּן קֳדָם יְיָ וְאִתְקַדָּשׁוּ וִיהֶוְיָן לְאָת לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל: (ד) וּנְסִיב אֶלְעָזָר כַּהֲנָא יָת מַחְתְּיָתָא דִנְחָשָׁא דְּקָרִיבוּ יוֹקִידַיָּא וְרַדִּידֻנּוּן חוֹפָאָה לְמַדְבְּחָא: (ה) דָּכְרָנָא לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּדִיל דִּי לָא יִקְרַב גְּבַר חִלּוֹנַי דִּי לָא מִזַּרְעָא דְאַהֲרֹן הוּא לְאַסָּקָא קְטֹרֶת בּוּסְמִין קֳדָם יְיָ וְלָא יְהֵי כְקֹרַח וְכִכְנִשְׁתֵּיהּ כְּמָא דִי מַלִּיל יְיָ בִּידָא דְמשֶׁה לֵיהּ:
1. Hashem spoke with Moshe, saying: 2. Say to Elazar son of Aharon the priest to separate[7] the fire pans from between those consumed,[8] and send the fire away,[9] because they have been sanctified – 3. the fire pans of these sinners who sinned against their souls. Make them (into) hammered plates as a covering for the altar because they brought them before Hashem and they became sanctified. They shall be for a sign to the children of Israel. 4. Elazar the priest took the copper fire pans that those who burned had offered. He hammered them (into) a covering for the altar – 5. a remembrance to the children of Israel in order that no secular person[10] who is not of Aharon’s descendants[11] will draw near to burn[12] spice incense before Hashem and he will not be like Korach and like his congregation, as Hashem told him through the hand of Moshe.
(ו) וַיִּלֹּ֜נוּ כׇּל־עֲדַ֤ת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מִֽמׇּחֳרָ֔ת עַל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְעַֽל־אַהֲרֹ֖ן לֵאמֹ֑ר אַתֶּ֥ם הֲמִתֶּ֖ם אֶת־עַ֥ם יְהֹוָֽה׃ (ז) וַיְהִ֗י בְּהִקָּהֵ֤ל הָֽעֵדָה֙ עַל־מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְעַֽל־אַהֲרֹ֔ן וַיִּפְנוּ֙ אֶל־אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד וְהִנֵּ֥ה כִסָּ֖הוּ הֶעָנָ֑ן וַיֵּרָ֖א כְּב֥וֹד יְהֹוָֽה׃ (ח) וַיָּבֹ֤א מֹשֶׁה֙ וְאַהֲרֹ֔ן אֶל־פְּנֵ֖י אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃ {ס}
(ו) וְאִתְרַעֲמוּ כָּל כְּנִשְׁתָּא דִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מִיּוֹמָא דְבַתְרוֹהִי עַל משֶׁה וְעַל אַהֲרֹן לְמֵימָר אַתּוּן גְּרַמְתּוּן דְּמִית עַמָּא דַיְיָ: (ז) וַהֲוָה בְּאִתְכַּנָּשׁוּת כְּנִשְׁתָּא עַל משֶׁה וְעַל אַהֲרֹן וְאִתְפְּנִיאוּ לְמַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא וְהָא חֲפָהִי עֲנָנָא וְאִתְגְּלִי יְקָרָא דַיְיָ: (ח) וְעָל משֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן לָקֳדָם מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא:
6. The entire congregation of the children of Israel complained from the next day against Moshe and against Aharon, saying, “You caused Hashem’s people to die!”[13] 7. It happened when the congregation gathered against Moshe and against Aharon, they turned towards the Tent of Meeting and behold, the cloud covered it and the Hashem’s glory was revealed. 8. Moshe and Aharon came in to before the Tent of Meeting,
