(טו) וְאַֽחֲרֵי־כֵן֙ יָבֹ֣אוּ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם לַעֲבֹ֖ד אֶת־אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וְטִֽהַרְתָּ֣ אֹתָ֔ם וְהֵנַפְתָּ֥ אֹתָ֖ם תְּנוּפָֽה׃ (טז) כִּי֩ נְתֻנִ֨ים נְתֻנִ֥ים הֵ֙מָּה֙ לִ֔י מִתּ֖וֹךְ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל תַּ֩חַת֩ פִּטְרַ֨ת כׇּל־רֶ֜חֶם בְּכ֥וֹר כֹּל֙ מִבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לָקַ֥חְתִּי אֹתָ֖ם לִֽי׃ (יז) כִּ֣י לִ֤י כׇל־בְּכוֹר֙ בִּבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בָּאָדָ֖ם וּבַבְּהֵמָ֑ה בְּי֗וֹם הַכֹּתִ֤י כׇל־בְּכוֹר֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם הִקְדַּ֥שְׁתִּי אֹתָ֖ם לִֽי׃ (יח) וָאֶקַּ֖ח אֶת־הַלְוִיִּ֑ם תַּ֥חַת כׇּל־בְּכ֖וֹר בִּבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ (יט) וָאֶתְּנָ֨ה אֶת־הַלְוִיִּ֜ם נְתֻנִ֣ים ׀ לְאַהֲרֹ֣ן וּלְבָנָ֗יו מִתּוֹךְ֮ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ לַעֲבֹ֞ד אֶת־עֲבֹדַ֤ת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד וּלְכַפֵּ֖ר עַל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְלֹ֨א יִהְיֶ֜ה בִּבְנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ נֶ֔גֶף בְּגֶ֥שֶׁת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶל־הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ (כ) וַיַּ֨עַשׂ מֹשֶׁ֧ה וְאַהֲרֹ֛ן וְכׇל־עֲדַ֥ת בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לַלְוִיִּ֑ם כְּ֠כֹ֠ל אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֨ה יְהֹוָ֤ה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה֙ לַלְוִיִּ֔ם כֵּן־עָשׂ֥וּ לָהֶ֖ם בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ (כא) וַיִּֽתְחַטְּא֣וּ הַלְוִיִּ֗ם וַֽיְכַבְּסוּ֙ בִּגְדֵיהֶ֔ם וַיָּ֨נֶף אַהֲרֹ֥ן אֹתָ֛ם תְּנוּפָ֖ה לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה וַיְכַפֵּ֧ר עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם אַהֲרֹ֖ן לְטַהֲרָֽם׃ (כב) וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵ֞ן בָּ֣אוּ הַלְוִיִּ֗ם לַעֲבֹ֤ד אֶת־עֲבֹֽדָתָם֙ בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד לִפְנֵ֥י אַהֲרֹ֖ן וְלִפְנֵ֣י בָנָ֑יו כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ צִוָּ֨ה יְהֹוָ֤ה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה֙ עַל־הַלְוִיִּ֔ם כֵּ֖ן עָשׂ֥וּ לָהֶֽם׃ {ס}
(טו) וּבָתַר כֵּן יַעֲלוּן לֵוָאֵי לְמִפְלַח יָת מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא וּתְדַכֵּי יָתְהוֹן וּתְרֵם יָתְהוֹן אֲרָמָא: (טז) אֲרֵי אַפְרָשָׁא מַפְרְשִׁין אִנּוּן לִי מִגּוֹ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל חֲלַף פְּתַח כָּל וַלְדָּא בּוּכְרָא כֹלָּא מִבְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל קָרֵבִית יָתְהוֹן קֳדָמָי: (יז) אֲרֵי דִילִי כָל בּוּכְרָא בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בַּאֲנָשָׁא וּבִבְעִירָא בְּיוֹמָא דִּקְטָלִית כָּל בּוּכְרָא בְּאַרְעָא דְמִצְרַיִם אַקְדֵּשִׁית יָתְהוֹן קֳדָמָי: (יח) וְקָרֵבִית יָת לֵוָאֵי חֲלַף כָּל בּוּכְרָא בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל: (יט) וִיהָבִית יָת לֵוָאֵי מְסִירִין לְאַהֲרֹן וְלִבְנוֹהִי מִגּוֹ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְמִפְלַח יָת פָּלְחַן בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּמַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא וּלְכַפָּרָא עַל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלָא יְהֵי בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מוֹתָא בְּמִקְרַב בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְקוּדְשָׁא: (כ) וַעֲבַד משֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן וְכָל כְּנִשְׁתָּא דִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְלֵוָאֵי כְּכֹל דִּי פַקִּיד יְיָ יָת משֶׁה לְלֵוָאֵי כֵּן עֲבָדוּ לְהוֹן בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל: (כא) וְאִדַּכִּיּוּ לֵוָאֵי וְחַוָּרוּ לְבוּשֵׁיהוֹן וַאֲרֵם אַהֲרֹן יָתְהוֹן אֲרָמָא קֳדָם יְיָ וְכַפַּר עֲלֵיהוֹן אַהֲרֹן לְדַכּוֹאֵיהוֹן: (כב) וּבָתַר כֵּן עֲלּוּ לֵוָאֵי לְמִפְלַח יָת פָּלְחַנְהוֹן בְּמַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא קֳדָם אַהֲרֹן וְקָדָם בְּנוֹהִי כְּמָא דִּי פַקִּיד יְיָ יָת משֶׁה עַל לֵוָאֵי כֵּן עֲבָדוּ לְהוֹן:
15. After that, the Levites will come to serve the Tent of Meeting, and you have purified them and elevated them as an elevation. 16. For they are surely separated[1] to Me from among the children of Israel; I have brought them near Me[2] in lieu of the first issue of every womb, the firstborn of all the children of Israel. 17. Because every firstborn of the children of Israel is Mine, of man and of animal; on the day that I killed[3] every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them to Me. 18. I have brought the Levites near in lieu of every firstborn of the children of Israel; 19. I gave the Levites, assigned[4] to Aharon and to his sons from among the children of Israel to perform the service of the children of Israel in the Tent of Meeting and to atone for the children of Israel, and there will not be among the children of Israel death[5] for the children of Israel approaching the sanctuary. 20. Moshe, Aharon, and the entire congregation of the children of Israel did with[6] the Levites according to all that Hashem commanded Moshe regarding the Levites; so the children of Israel did with them. 21. The Levites purified themselves and washed their clothes. Aharon elevated them as an elevation before Hashem; Aharon atoned for them to purify them. 22. After this, the Levites came to perform their service in the Tent of Meeting before Aharon and before his sons. As Hashem commanded Moshe regarding the Levites, so they did to them.
(כג) וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ (כד) זֹ֖את אֲשֶׁ֣ר לַלְוִיִּ֑ם מִבֶּן֩ חָמֵ֨שׁ וְעֶשְׂרִ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ וָמַ֔עְלָה יָבוֹא֙ לִצְבֹ֣א צָבָ֔א בַּעֲבֹדַ֖ת אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃ (כה) וּמִבֶּן֙ חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה יָשׁ֖וּב מִצְּבָ֣א הָעֲבֹדָ֑ה וְלֹ֥א יַעֲבֹ֖ד עֽוֹד׃ (כו) וְשֵׁרֵ֨ת אֶת־אֶחָ֜יו בְּאֹ֤הֶל מוֹעֵד֙ לִשְׁמֹ֣ר מִשְׁמֶ֔רֶת וַעֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֣א יַעֲבֹ֑ד כָּ֛כָה תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה לַלְוִיִּ֖ם בְּמִשְׁמְרֹתָֽם׃ {פ}
(כג) וּמַלִּיל יְיָ עִם משֶׁה לְמֵימָר: (כד) דָּא דִּי לְלֵוָאֵי מִבַּר חָמֵשׁ וְעַשְׂרִין שְׁנִין וּלְעֵלָּא יֵיתֵי לַחֲיָלָא חֵילָא בְּפָלְחַן מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא: (כה) וּמִבַּר חַמְשִׁין שְׁנִין יְתוּב מֵחֵיל פָּלְחָנָא וְלָא יִפְלַח עוֹד: (כו) וִישַׁמַּשׁ עִם אֲחוֹהִי בְּמַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא לְמִטַּר מַטָּרָא וּפָלְחָנָא לָא יִפְלָח כְּדֵין תַּעְבֵּד לְלֵוָאֵי בְּמַטְּרַתְהוֹן:
23. Hashem spoke with Moshe, saying: 24. This is what’s for the Levites: from the of age 25 years and up he shall come to the work force in the service of the Tent of Meeting; 25. and from the age of 50 he shall return from the work force and not serve any further. 26. He may minister with his brothers in the Tent of Meeting to stand guard, but[7] service he shall not perform. Thus shall be done to the Levites in their charges.
