2,876. Shimshon vs. Shmuel

Hilchos Nezirus 3:15

If someone says that he is like Shimshon, like Manoach’s son, like Delilah’s husband, like the one who carried off the gates of Gaza, or like the one whose eyes were put out by the Philistines, he must keep the nezirus of Shimshon even though these things could be attributed to someone else.

Hilchos Nezirus 3:16

The prophet Shmuel was a permanent nazir. If someone says that he is like Shmuel of Ramah, like Chana’s son, like Elkana’s son, like the one who felled King Agag in Gilgal, etc., then he is a permanent nazir. We don’t say that he might have intended someone else to whom such things might refer.
