(כג) וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ (כד) דַּבֵּ֛ר אֶל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר בַּחֹ֨דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֜י בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֗דֶשׁ יִהְיֶ֤ה לָכֶם֙ שַׁבָּת֔וֹן זִכְר֥וֹן תְּרוּעָ֖ה מִקְרָא־קֹֽדֶשׁ׃ (כה) כׇּל־מְלֶ֥אכֶת עֲבֹדָ֖ה לֹ֣א תַעֲשׂ֑וּ וְהִקְרַבְתֶּ֥ם אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַיהֹוָֽה׃ {ס}
(כג) וּמַלִּיל יְיָ עִם משֶׁה לְמֵימָר: (כד) מַלֵּיל עִם בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְמֵימָר בְּיַרְחָא שְׁבִיעָאָה בְּחַד לְיַרְחָא יְהֵי לְכוֹן נְיָחָא דּוּכְרַן יַבָּבָא מְעָרַע קַדִּישׁ: (כה) כָּל עִבִידַת פָּלְחָנָא לָא תַעְבְּדוּן וּתְקָרְבוּן קֻרְבָּנָא קֳדָם יְיָ:
23. Hashem spoke with Moshe, saying: 24. Speak with the children of Israel, saying: In the seventh month, on the first of the month, it shall be rest to you, in memory of the sobbing,[1] a holy occasion. 25. All labor of work you shall not perform, and you shall offer an offering before Hashem.
(כו) וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ (כז) אַ֡ךְ בֶּעָשׂ֣וֹר לַחֹ֩דֶשׁ֩ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֨י הַזֶּ֜ה י֧וֹם הַכִּפֻּרִ֣ים ה֗וּא מִֽקְרָא־קֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֔ם וְעִנִּיתֶ֖ם אֶת־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶ֑ם וְהִקְרַבְתֶּ֥ם אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַיהֹוָֽה׃ (כח) וְכׇל־מְלָאכָה֙ לֹ֣א תַעֲשׂ֔וּ בְּעֶ֖צֶם הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה כִּ֣י י֤וֹם כִּפֻּרִים֙ ה֔וּא לְכַפֵּ֣ר עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם לִפְנֵ֖י יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃ (כט) כִּ֤י כׇל־הַנֶּ֙פֶשׁ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־תְעֻנֶּ֔ה בְּעֶ֖צֶם הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וְנִכְרְתָ֖ה מֵֽעַמֶּֽיהָ׃ (ל) וְכׇל־הַנֶּ֗פֶשׁ אֲשֶׁ֤ר תַּעֲשֶׂה֙ כׇּל־מְלָאכָ֔ה בְּעֶ֖צֶם הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וְהַֽאֲבַדְתִּ֛י אֶת־הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַהִ֖וא מִקֶּ֥רֶב עַמָּֽהּ׃ (לא) כׇּל־מְלָאכָ֖ה לֹ֣א תַעֲשׂ֑וּ חֻקַּ֤ת עוֹלָם֙ לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם בְּכֹ֖ל מֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃ (לב) שַׁבַּ֨ת שַׁבָּת֥וֹן הוּא֙ לָכֶ֔ם וְעִנִּיתֶ֖ם אֶת־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶ֑ם בְּתִשְׁעָ֤ה לַחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ בָּעֶ֔רֶב מֵעֶ֣רֶב עַד־עֶ֔רֶב תִּשְׁבְּת֖וּ שַׁבַּתְּכֶֽם׃ {פ}
(כו) וּמַלִּיל יְיָ עִם משֶׁה לְמֵימָר: (כז) בְּרַם בְּעַשְׂרָא לְיַרְחָא שְׁבִיעָאָה הָדֵין יוֹמָא דְכִפּוּרַיָּא הוּא מְעָרַע קַדִּישׁ יְהֵי לְכוֹן וּתְעַנּוּן יָת נַפְשָׁתֵיכוֹן וּתְקָרְבוּן קֻרְבָּנָא קֳדָם יְיָ: (כח) וְכָל עִבִידָא לָא תַעְבְּדוּן בִּכְרַן יוֹמָא הָדֵין אֲרֵי יוֹמָא דְכִפּוּרַיָּא הוּא לְכַפָּרָא עֲלֵיכוֹן קֳדָם יְיָ אֱלָהָכוֹן: (כט) אֲרֵי כָל אֲנָשָׁא דִּי לָא מִתְעַנֵּי בִּכְרַן יוֹמָא הָדֵין וְיִשְׁתֵּיצֵי מֵעַמָּהָא: (ל) וְכָל אֱנַשׁ דִּי תַעְבֵּד כָּל עִבִידָא בִּכְרַן יוֹמָא הָדֵין וְאוֹבֵד יָת אֲנָשָׁא הַהִיא מִגּוֹ עַמַּהּ: (לא) כָּל עִבִידָא לָא תַעְבְּדוּן קְיַם עָלָם לְדָרֵיכוֹן בְּכֹל מוֹתְבָנֵיכוֹן: (לב) שְׁבַת שְׁבָתָא הוּא לְכוֹן וּתְעַנּוּן יָת נַפְשָׁתֵיכוֹן בְּתִישְׁעָא לְיַרְחָא בְּרַמְשָׁא מֵרַמְשָׁא עַד רַמְשָׁא תְּנוּחוּן נְיַחֲכוֹן:
26. Hashem spoke with Moshe, saying: 27. But, on the tenth (day) of this seventh month it is the day of atonements. It shall be a holy occasion for you. You shall afflict yourselves[2] and you shall offer an offering before Hashem. 28. All labor you shall not perform on the arrival of that day because it is a day of atonements to atone for you before Hashem your God. 29. Because every person who won’t afflict (himself) on that very day will be eradicated from his[3] people,
30. and every person who will perform any[4] labor on the arrival of that very day, I will destroy that person from among his people. 31. All labor you shall not perform; it is an eternal statute for your generations in all your settlements. 32. It is a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you shall afflict yourselves. On the ninth (day) of the month in the evening, from evening to evening, you shall rest on your Sabbath.
