Tazria - Shlishi

The Boil Was Bad Enough Without the Tzaraas

If a person has a boil that heals and that spot develops a white or pink discoloration, it must be shown to a kohein. If it's beneath the surface or if the hair in the area has turned white, it's tzaraas. If not, the kohein will quarantine the person for a week and then re-examine him. If the spot increases, it's tzaraas; if it doesn't get any worse, it's just a scar from the wound that healed.
