845. A Bris During Sefirah

120:8 A sandek - i.e., the one who holds a baby during a bris - a mohel and the father of the baby may have their hair cut on the day before the bris, in the late afternoon, before they go to shul. (This leniency does not apply to those who carry in the baby - Mishnah Brurah 493:12. If the bris is on Shabbos, those who are allowed to get their hair cut may do so even in the morning on Friday - MB 493:13.)

120:9 It is permitted to get engaged throughout the Omer period, and even to hold a party for it, but dancing is not permitted.
