809. Selling an Animal

114:9 If a person owns a mill and people who use it pay him with chometz grain, he must sell or rent the mill to a non-Jew before Pesach (for a number of weeks that includes Pesach - Mishnah Brurah 450:28).

114:10 There is a difference of opinion among the authorities when it comes to selling an animal to a non-Jew who will feed it chometz. It is preferable if one is able to avoid doing so. If he can not avoid it, he should consult a Torah scholar for guidance.
