(ב) וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַיֹּ֥אמֶר אֵלָ֖יו אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ (ג) וָאֵרָ֗א אֶל־אַבְרָהָ֛ם אֶל־יִצְחָ֥ק וְאֶֽל־יַעֲקֹ֖ב בְּאֵ֣ל שַׁדָּ֑י וּשְׁמִ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה לֹ֥א נוֹדַ֖עְתִּי לָהֶֽם׃ (ד) וְגַ֨ם הֲקִמֹ֤תִי אֶת־בְּרִיתִי֙ אִתָּ֔ם לָתֵ֥ת לָהֶ֖ם אֶת־אֶ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן אֵ֛ת אֶ֥רֶץ מְגֻרֵיהֶ֖ם אֲשֶׁר־גָּ֥רוּ בָֽהּ׃ (ה) וְגַ֣ם ׀ אֲנִ֣י שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי אֶֽת־נַאֲקַת֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר מִצְרַ֖יִם מַעֲבִדִ֣ים אֹתָ֑ם וָאֶזְכֹּ֖ר אֶת־בְּרִיתִֽי׃ (ו) לָכֵ֞ן אֱמֹ֥ר לִבְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֮ אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָה֒ וְהוֹצֵאתִ֣י אֶתְכֶ֗ם מִתַּ֙חַת֙ סִבְלֹ֣ת מִצְרַ֔יִם וְהִצַּלְתִּ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם מֵעֲבֹדָתָ֑ם וְגָאַלְתִּ֤י אֶתְכֶם֙ בִּזְר֣וֹעַ נְטוּיָ֔ה וּבִשְׁפָטִ֖ים גְּדֹלִֽים׃ (ז) וְלָקַחְתִּ֨י אֶתְכֶ֥ם לִי֙ לְעָ֔ם וְהָיִ֥יתִי לָכֶ֖ם לֵֽאלֹהִ֑ים וִֽידַעְתֶּ֗ם כִּ֣י אֲנִ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ אֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם הַמּוֹצִ֣יא אֶתְכֶ֔ם מִתַּ֖חַת סִבְל֥וֹת מִצְרָֽיִם׃ (ח) וְהֵבֵאתִ֤י אֶתְכֶם֙ אֶל־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָשָׂ֙אתִי֙ אֶת־יָדִ֔י לָתֵ֣ת אֹתָ֔הּ לְאַבְרָהָ֥ם לְיִצְחָ֖ק וּֽלְיַעֲקֹ֑ב וְנָתַתִּ֨י אֹתָ֥הּ לָכֶ֛ם מוֹרָשָׁ֖ה אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ (ט) וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר מֹשֶׁ֛ה כֵּ֖ן אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְלֹ֤א שָֽׁמְעוּ֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה מִקֹּ֣צֶר ר֔וּחַ וּמֵעֲבֹדָ֖ה קָשָֽׁה׃ {פ}

(ב) וּמַלִּיל יְיָ עִם משֶׁה וַאֲמַר לֵיהּ אֲנָא יְיָ: (ג) וְאִתְגְּלֵיתִי לְאַבְרָהָם לְיִצְחָק וּלְיַעֲקֹב בְּאֵל שַׁדָּי וּשְׁמִי יְיָ לָא הוֹדָעִית לְהוֹן: (ד) וְאַף אֲקֵימִית יָת קְיָמִי עִמְּהוֹן לְמִתַּן לְהוֹן יָת אַרְעָא דִכְנָעַן יָת אַרְעָא תּוֹתָבוּתְהוֹן דְּאִתּוֹתָבוּ בַהּ: (ה) וְאַף קֳדָמַי שְׁמִיעַ יָת קְבֵילַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל דִּי מִצְרָאֵי מַפְלְחִין בְּהוֹן וְדָכִירְנָא יָת קְיָמִי: (ו) בְּכֵן אֱמַר לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲנָא יְיָ וְאַפֵּיק יָתְכוֹן מִגּוֹ דְחוֹק פָּלְחַן מִצְרָאֵי וֶאֱשֵׁיזֵב יָתְכוֹן מִפָּלְחָנְהוֹן וְאֶפְרוֹק יָתְכוֹן בִּדְרָעָא מְרָמָא וּבְדִינִין רַבְרְבִין: (ז) וֶאֱקָרֵיב יָתְכוֹן קֳדָמַי לְעַמָּא וְאֶהֱוֵי לְכוֹן לֶאֱלָהּ וְתִדְּעוּן אֲרֵי אֲנָא יְיָ אֱלָהָכוֹן דְּאַפֵּיק יָתְכוֹן מִגּוֹ דְחוֹק פָּלְחַן מִצְרָיִם: (ח) וְאָעֵיל יָתְכוֹן לְאַרְעָא דִּי קַיֵּמִית בְּמֵימְרִי לְמִתַּן יָתַהּ לְאַבְרָהָם לְיִצְחָק וּלְיַעֲקֹב וְאֶתֵּן יָתַהּ לְכוֹן יְרֻתָּא אֲנָא יְיָ: (ט) וּמַלֵּיל משֶׁה כֵּן לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלָא קַבִּילוּ מִן משֶׁה מִמַּעְיַק רוּחָא וּמִפָּלְחָנָא דַּהֲוָה קָשְׁיָא עֲלֵיהוֹן:

2. Hashem spoke with Moshe and said to him, “I am Hashem. 3. I was revealed to Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov as Eil Shaddai,[1] but My name Hashem I did not make known[2] to them. 4. I also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their sojournings, which they sojourned in it. 5. The moaning of the children of Israel is also heard before Me because the Egyptians are enslaving them, and I remember My covenant. 6. Therefore, say to the children of Israel, ‘I am Hashem. I will take you out from under the pressure of the labor of the Egyptians and save you from their servitude. I will redeem you with an upraised[3] arm and through great judgments. 7. I will bring you near before Me as a people and I will be God to you. You will know that I am Hashem your God, Who took you out from among the pressure of the labor of the Egyptians. 8. I will bring you in to the land about which I swore through My word to give it to Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov; I will give it to you as an inheritance. I am Hashem.’” 9. Moshe spoke thus to the children of Israel and they didn’t accept it from Moshe from a distressed spirit and labor that was hard upon them.

(י) וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ (יא) בֹּ֣א דַבֵּ֔ר אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֖ה מֶ֣לֶךְ מִצְרָ֑יִם וִֽישַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֵאַרְצֽוֹ׃ (יב) וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֔ה לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה לֵאמֹ֑ר הֵ֤ן בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לֹֽא־שָׁמְע֣וּ אֵלַ֔י וְאֵיךְ֙ יִשְׁמָעֵ֣נִי פַרְעֹ֔ה וַאֲנִ֖י עֲרַ֥ל שְׂפָתָֽיִם׃ {פ}

(י) וּמַלִּיל יְיָ עִם משֶׁה לְמֵימָר: (יא) עוּל מַלֵּיל לְוָת פַּרְעֹה מַלְכָּא דְמִצְרָיִם וִישַׁלַּח יָת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאַרְעֵיהּ: (יב) וּמַלִּיל משֶׁה קֳדָם יְיָ לְמֵימָר הָא בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לָא קַבִּילוּ מִנִּי וְאֶכְדֵּין יְקַבֵּל מִנִּי פַרְעֹה וַאֲנָא יַקִּיר מַמְלָל:

10. Hashem spoke with Moshe, saying, 11. “Go in, speak with Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he will send the children of Israel from his land.” 12. Moshe said before Hashem, saying, “Behold, the children of Israel did not accept it from me. How will Pharaoh accept it from me, as I am heavy of speech?”[4]

(יג) וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר יְהֹוָה֮ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְאֶֽל־אַהֲרֹן֒ וַיְצַוֵּם֙ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְאֶל־פַּרְעֹ֖ה מֶ֣לֶךְ מִצְרָ֑יִם לְהוֹצִ֥יא אֶת־בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ {ס}

(יג) וּמַלִּיל יְיָ עִם משֶׁה וְעִם אַהֲרֹן וּפַקֵּדִנּוּן לְוָת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּלְוָת פַּרְעֹה מַלְכָּא דְמִצְרָיִם לְאַפָּקָא יָת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאַרְעָא דְמִצְרָיִם:

13. Hashem spoke with Moshe and with Aharon, and He commanded them regarding the children of Israel and regarding Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel from the land of Egypt.
