Korach - Chamishi

Almond Ding

God had Moshe speak to the Tribal leaders. They were told to write their names on their staffs and to bring them to the Mishkan. Aharon's name would be written on the staff of the Tribe of Levi. God said He would cause the staff of the one He desires to blossom. That should put an end to the question of Moshe's alleged nepotism.

The staffs were placed in the Mishkan overnight. In the morning, Aharon's staff, formerly a piece of dead wood, was blooming with flowers and almonds! Moshe displayed the staffs publicly so that everyone could see the results.
