Korach - R'vi'i
When Last We Left Moshe...
...the people were blaming him for the deaths of the rebels, when God made His Presence manifest.
"Step aside," said God, "and I'll wipe them all out in an instant."
Moshe and Aharon did not want God to do this, so they prayed for the people. The plague had already started, so Moshe had Aharon get his pan of burning incense. Aharon ran with his pan to where the people were dying. Where Aharon stood formed a dividing line between the living and the dead as his incense atoned for the people. 14,700 people died in that plague, on top of the victims of Korach's rebellion.
