Peah 6:7-8

Peah 6:7

If the owner overlooked standing grain of two seah (about seven gallons), it is not shich’cha; if it is less than two seah (because of the poor quality of the crop) but it would normally be sufficient to yield two seah of produce, it is treated the same as a barley crop (which is much lusher).

Peah 6:8

Standing grain that was not forgotten keeps an adjacent sheaf and more standing grain from becoming shich’cha. A sheaf cannot prevent another sheaf or standing grain from becoming shich’cha. The standing grain that saves a sheaf from becoming shich’cha is not itself shich’cha; even a single stalk is effective.
