(א) וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ לְנֹ֔חַ בֹּֽא־אַתָּ֥ה וְכׇל־בֵּיתְךָ֖ אֶל־הַתֵּבָ֑ה כִּֽי־אֹתְךָ֥ רָאִ֛יתִי צַדִּ֥יק לְפָנַ֖י בַּדּ֥וֹר הַזֶּֽה׃ (ב) מִכֹּ֣ל ׀ הַבְּהֵמָ֣ה הַטְּהוֹרָ֗ה תִּֽקַּח־לְךָ֛ שִׁבְעָ֥ה שִׁבְעָ֖ה אִ֣ישׁ וְאִשְׁתּ֑וֹ וּמִן־הַבְּהֵמָ֡ה אֲ֠שֶׁ֠ר לֹ֣א טְהֹרָ֥ה הִ֛וא שְׁנַ֖יִם אִ֥ישׁ וְאִשְׁתּֽוֹ׃ (ג) גַּ֣ם מֵע֧וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם שִׁבְעָ֥ה שִׁבְעָ֖ה זָכָ֣ר וּנְקֵבָ֑ה לְחַיּ֥וֹת זֶ֖רַע עַל־פְּנֵ֥י כׇל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ (ד) כִּי֩ לְיָמִ֨ים ע֜וֹד שִׁבְעָ֗ה אָֽנֹכִי֙ מַמְטִ֣יר עַל־הָאָ֔רֶץ אַרְבָּעִ֣ים י֔וֹם וְאַרְבָּעִ֖ים לָ֑יְלָה וּמָחִ֗יתִי אֶֽת־כׇּל־הַיְקוּם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשִׂ֔יתִי מֵעַ֖ל פְּנֵ֥י הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃ (ה) וַיַּ֖עַשׂ נֹ֑חַ כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֖הוּ יְהֹוָֽה׃ (ו) וְנֹ֕חַ בֶּן־שֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וְהַמַּבּ֣וּל הָיָ֔ה מַ֖יִם עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ (ז) וַיָּ֣בֹא נֹ֗חַ וּ֠בָנָ֠יו וְאִשְׁתּ֧וֹ וּנְשֵֽׁי־בָנָ֛יו אִתּ֖וֹ אֶל־הַתֵּבָ֑ה מִפְּנֵ֖י מֵ֥י הַמַּבּֽוּל׃ (ח) מִן־הַבְּהֵמָה֙ הַטְּהוֹרָ֔ה וּמִ֨ן־הַבְּהֵמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵינֶ֖נָּה טְהֹרָ֑ה וּמִ֨ן־הָע֔וֹף וְכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־רֹמֵ֖שׂ עַל־הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃ (ט) שְׁנַ֨יִם שְׁנַ֜יִם בָּ֧אוּ אֶל־נֹ֛חַ אֶל־הַתֵּבָ֖ה זָכָ֣ר וּנְקֵבָ֑ה כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶת־נֹֽחַ׃ (י) וַֽיְהִ֖י לְשִׁבְעַ֣ת הַיָּמִ֑ים וּמֵ֣י הַמַּבּ֔וּל הָי֖וּ עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ (יא) בִּשְׁנַ֨ת שֵׁשׁ־מֵא֤וֹת שָׁנָה֙ לְחַיֵּי־נֹ֔חַ בַּחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י בְּשִׁבְעָֽה־עָשָׂ֥ר י֖וֹם לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֗ה נִבְקְעוּ֙ כׇּֽל־מַעְיְנֹת֙ תְּה֣וֹם רַבָּ֔ה וַאֲרֻבֹּ֥ת הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם נִפְתָּֽחוּ׃ (יב) וַֽיְהִ֥י הַגֶּ֖שֶׁם עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ אַרְבָּעִ֣ים י֔וֹם וְאַרְבָּעִ֖ים לָֽיְלָה׃ (יג) בְּעֶ֨צֶם הַיּ֤וֹם הַזֶּה֙ בָּ֣א נֹ֔חַ וְשֵׁם־וְחָ֥ם וָיֶ֖פֶת בְּנֵי־נֹ֑חַ וְאֵ֣שֶׁת נֹ֗חַ וּשְׁלֹ֧שֶׁת נְשֵֽׁי־בָנָ֛יו אִתָּ֖ם אֶל־הַתֵּבָֽה׃ (יד) הֵ֜מָּה וְכׇל־הַֽחַיָּ֣ה לְמִינָ֗הּ וְכׇל־הַבְּהֵמָה֙ לְמִינָ֔הּ וְכׇל־הָרֶ֛מֶשׂ הָרֹמֵ֥שׂ עַל־הָאָ֖רֶץ לְמִינֵ֑הוּ וְכׇל־הָע֣וֹף לְמִינֵ֔הוּ כֹּ֖ל צִפּ֥וֹר כׇּל־כָּנָֽף׃ (טו) וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ אֶל־נֹ֖חַ אֶל־הַתֵּבָ֑ה שְׁנַ֤יִם שְׁנַ֙יִם֙ מִכׇּל־הַבָּשָׂ֔ר אֲשֶׁר־בּ֖וֹ ר֥וּחַ חַיִּֽים׃ (טז) וְהַבָּאִ֗ים זָכָ֨ר וּנְקֵבָ֤ה מִכׇּל־בָּשָׂר֙ בָּ֔אוּ כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה אֹת֖וֹ אֱלֹהִ֑ים וַיִּסְגֹּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה בַּֽעֲדֽוֹ׃

(א) וַאֲמַר יְיָ לְנֹחַ עוּל אַתְּ וְכָל אֱנַשׁ בֵּיתָךְ לְתֵבוֹתָא אֲרֵי יָתָךְ חֲזֵיתִי זַכַּאי קֳדָמַי בְּדָרָא הָדֵין: (ב) מִכֹּל בְּעִירָא דַכְיָא תִּסַּב לָךְ שַׁבְעָא שַׁבְעָא דְּכַר וְנָקְבָּא וּמִן בְּעִירָא דִּלָא (אִיתָהָא) דַכְיָא הִיא תְּרֵין דְּכַר וְנָקְבָּא: (ג) אַף מֵעוֹפָא דִשְׁמַיָּא שַׁבְעָא שַׁבְעָא דְּכַר וְנָקְבָּא לְקַיָּמָא זַרְעָא עַל אַפֵּי כָל אַרְעָא: (ד) אֲרֵי לִזְמַן יוֹמִין עוֹד שַׁבְעָא אֲנָא מָחֵת מִטְרָא עַל אַרְעָא אַרְבְּעִין יְמָמִין וְאַרְבְּעִין לֵילָוָן וְאֶמְחֵי יָת כָּל יְקוּמָא דִי עַבְדַת מֵעַל אַפֵּי אַרְעָא: (ה) וַעֲבַד נֹחַ כְּכֹל דִּי פַקְּדֵיהּ יְיָ: (ו) וְנֹחַ בַּר שִׁתְּ מְאָה שְׁנִין וְטוֹפָנָא הֲוָה מַיָּא עַל אַרְעָא: (ז) וְעָאל נֹחַ וּבְנוֹהִי וְאִתְּתֵיהּ וּנְשֵׁי בְנוֹהִי עִמֵּיהּ לְתֵבוֹתָא מִן קֳדָם מֵי טוֹפָנָא: (ח) מִן בְּעִירָא דַּכְיָא וּמִן בְּעִירָא דִּי לֵיתָהָא דַּכְיָא וּמִן עוֹפָא וְכֹל דִּי רָחֵשׁ עַל אַרְעָא: (ט) תְּרֵין תְּרֵין עַלּוּ לְוַת נֹחַ לְתֵבוֹתָא דְּכַר וְנָקְבָּא כְּמָא דִי פַקֵּיד יְיָ יָת נֹחַ: (י) וַהֲוָה לִזְמַן שִׁבְעַת יוֹמִין וּמֵי טוֹפָנָא הֲווֹ עַל אַרְעָא: (יא) בִּשְׁנַת שִׁתְּ מְאָה שְׁנִין לְחַיֵּי נֹחַ בְּיַרְחָא תִּנְיָנָא בְּשִׁבְעַת עַשְׂרָא יוֹמָא לְיַרְחָא בְּיוֹמָא הָדֵין אִתְבְּזָעוּ כָּל מַבּוּעֵי תְּהוֹמָא רַבָּא וְכַוֵּי שְׁמַיָּא אִתְפַּתָּחוּ: (יב) וַהֲוָה מִטְרָא נָחַת עַל אַרְעָא אַרְבְּעִין יְמָמִין וְאַרְבְּעִין לֵילָוָן: (יג) בִּכְרַן יוֹמָא הָדֵין עָל נֹחַ וְשֵׁם וְחָם וָיֶפֶת בְּנֵי נֹחַ וְאִתַּת נֹחַ וּתְלָתָא נְשֵׁי בְנוֹהִי עִמְּהוֹן לְתֵבוֹתָא: (יד) אִנּוּן וְכָל חַיְתָא לִזְנַהּ וְכָל בְּעִירָא לִזְנַהּ וְכָל רִחֲשָׁא דְּרָחֵשׁ עַל אַרְעָא לִזְנוֹהִי וְכָל עוֹפָא לִזְנוֹהִי כֹּל צִפַּר כָּל דְּפָרָח: (טו) וְעַלּוּ עִם נֹחַ לְתֵבוֹתָא תְּרֵין תְּרֵין מִכָּל בִּשְׂרָא דִי בֵיהּ רוּחָא דְחַיֵי: (טז) וְעָלַיָּא דְּכַר וְנָקְבָּא מִכָּל בִּשְׂרָא עַלּוּ כְּמָא דִי פַקֵּיד יָתֵיהּ יְיָ וַאֲגֵן יְיָ (בְּמֵימְרֵיהּ) עֲלוֹהִי:

1. Hashem said to Noach, “Go into the ark with all the members of your household because I have found only you righteous before Me in this generation. 2. Take seven pairs of every kosher animal, male and female,[7] and of every animal that is not kosher, two, male and female. 3. Also of the birds of the sky, seven pairs, male and female, to keep their descendants alive upon all the land. 4. Because in another seven days’ time (i.e., 7 x 24 hours)[8] I will make it rain upon the earth, 40 days and 40 nights, and I will erase all existence that I created from the face of the earth.” 5. Noach did everything that Hashem had commanded him. 6. Noach was 600 years old when the flood came, with water on the land. 7. Noach, his sons, his wife and his sons’ wives with him, went into the ark because of the floodwaters. 8. Of the kosher animals, of the animals that are not kosher, of the birds, and of everything that creeps on the ground, 9. two by two they came with Noach to the ark, male and female as Hashem had commanded Noach. 10. After seven days’ time (i.e., 7 x 24 hours) the floodwaters came upon the earth. 11. In the six-hundredth year of Noach’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst and the floodgates of the Heavens opened. 12. The rain was descending on the earth 40 days and 40 nights. 13. On the bright part of that day, Noach, plus Sheim, Cham and Yafes – Noach’s sons – Noach’s wife and the three wives of his sons went into the ark, 14. they and all wild animals according to their species, all domesticated animals according to their species, all creeping things that creep on the earth according to their species, and all fowl according to their species, every bird and everything that flies.[9] 15. They came with Noach to the ark, two by two from all the flesh that has the breath of life in it. 16. Those who entered, entered male and female from all flesh as Hashem commanded him. Hashem protected him (through His Word).
