Pesachim 6:3-4

Pesachim 6:3

A chagigah offering was brought with the Passover offering when the Passover offering was brought on a weekday, when most of the people are ritually clean and the Passover offering is not sufficient to feed all the members of its group. If the Passover offering was brought on Shabbos, if it was sufficient for its group or if the majority of the people were ritually unclean, a chagigah was not brought.

Pesachim 6:4

Unlike the Passover offering, a chagigah could be brought from small cattle, large cattle, sheep or goats, male or female. The chagigah could be eaten for two days and one night.
