Sotah 3:7-8

Sotah 3:7

If the daughter of a Yisroel is married to a kohein, her flour offering is burned but if the daughter of a kohein is married to a Yisroel, her flour offering is eaten. The difference between a male kohein and a woman from a kohanic family (kohenes) is the woman’s flour offering is eaten while that of the kohein is not eaten. A kohenes may be rendered a chalalah (unfit for kohanim) but a kohein cannot be rendered a chalal. A kohenes is permitted to render herself unclean for the dead but a kohein is not permitted to do so. A kohein may eat sacrifices of the highest degree of sanctity but a kohenes may not do so.
