2,615. Crossbred and Unidentifiable Animals

Hilchos Shechita 14:3

If someone slaughters a wild animal or a bird and he later consecrates them or their blood, he must cover the blood.

Hilchos Shechita 14:4

One must cover the blood of the crossbred offspring of a domesticated animal and a wild animal, or of an animal that we cannot positively identify as domesticated or wild, but one does not recite the blessing in such cases. If one slaughters for a sick person on Shabbos, he must to cover the blood after Shabbos. Similarly, if one slaughters an animal of doubtful status or a crossbreed on yom tov, he must cover the blood after yom tov.
