Kiddushin 3:2-3

Kiddushin 3:2

If a man betroths a woman on the condition that he give her 200 zuz, she is betrothed as of that moment assuming that he gives her the money. If he says that she is betrothed from then if he gives her 200 zuz within 30 days and he gives it to her within that time frame, she is betrothed; if he doesn’t, she is not betrothed. If the condition is that he has 200 zuz, she is betrothed if he has it. If the condition is that he will show her 200 zuz, she is betrothed if he shows her the money. If he shows her the money sitting on a (money-changing) table, she is not betrothed (because the implication is that he will show her that he has this much money, not money belonging to others).

Kiddushin 3:3

If a man betroths a woman on the condition that he has a beis kor of land (a measure of area), she is betrothed if he has it. If the condition is that he has the land in a particular place, she is betrothed if he does and not betrothed if he doesn’t. If the condition is that he will show her a beis kor of land, she is betrothed if he shows it to her. If he shows her land in the valley, she is not betrothed. (Again, because the implication of the condition is that he will show her that he owns such land.)
