Ha'azinu - Sheini

"Remember the old days and bygone eras. Ask your parents and your grandparents. You'll discover that when God divided the human race into 70 nations (at the Tower of Babel), it was to correspond to the number of Jews who descended to Egypt. Israel is that significant in the scheme of things. God has kept the Jewish people as His own nation.

“God brought the Jews from Egypt to the wilderness, a desolate wasteland. He protected them and taught them wisdom. He carried them on His 'wings,' as if they were the young of an eagle. God did it all alone; He has no partners."
