2,508. Shochet vs. Owner
Hilchos Shechita 2:22
If a Jew slaughters for a non-Jew, the slaughter is valid regardless of the non-Jew’s intentions because we are only concerned with the thoughts of the shochet and not those of the animal’s owner. Accordingly, if a non-Jew, including a minor, slaughters an animal for a Jew, the animal is a neveila. This will be discussed further IY”H in chapter 4.
Hilchos Shechita 3:1
There are five things that disqualify shechitah and the laws of shechitah are specifically designed to avoid them, namely: delay, stampeding, concealment, tipping and displacement. (Each of these will be explained in the forthcoming halachos.)
