2,477. Non-Jewish Oil
Maachalos Assuros 17:21
Roasted lentils kneaded with water or vinegar are prohibited; roasted kernels of wheat or barley kneaded with water are permitted.
Maachalos Assuros 17:22
Non-Jewish oil is permitted, and prohibiting it is considered sinful as a rebellion against the Sanhedrin that permitted it. Oil is permitted even if cooked; it’s not prohibited as non-Jewish cooking because we ingest oil raw. It’s also not a prohibited thing because meat would ruin the taste of oil.
