2,411. Wine in the Public Domain
Maachalos Assuros 13:5
Let’s say that pure wine belonging to a non-Jew is placed in the public domain or in a building that opens to the public domain and there are Jews traveling back and forth. In such a case, the wine is permitted because it hasn’t yet entered the non-Jew’s domain.
Maachalos Assuros 13:6
Wine in a trash heap, in a window or under a palm tree – even one without fruit – is like wine in the public domain; if a non-Jew is near wine in such a place, it is not prohibited. A house that opens to such a place is the same as one that opens to a public domain.
