If a wine barrel was found floating in a river near a city whose residents are mostly Jews, we may derive benefit from it; if near a city whose residents are mostly non-Jews, it is prohibited.

In a place where most wine sellers are Jewish, if one finds large vessels that are usually only used by wine sellers to store wine and they’re filled with wine, one may benefit from the wine in them. If a barrel was opened by thieves and most of the local thieves are Jewish, it is permitted to drink the wine; if such is not the case, it is prohibited.
