Bo - Chamishi

Wicked!

Moshe told the elders to have the people get their sacrifices ready. They were to use hyssop branches to paint the blood on their doorways. The people were to stay in their houses that night and not venture outside before morning.

The holiday would be commemorated by future generations, after the Jews inherited the land of Israel. When their descendants ask its meaning, they should respond, "This is because G-d passed over our homes when He struck the Egyptians." (Verse 26 includes the question of the "wicked" son in the Passover Haggadah.)
