Avos 4:8-9
Avos 4:8
Rabbi Yishmael used to say that one should not judge alone because no one can judge alone except for God. Also, one should not insist that the other judges accept his opinion because it is up to each judge to draw his own conclusions.
Avos 4:9
Rabbi Yonasan said that one who observes the Torah in a state of poverty will ultimately observe it in wealth, while one who neglects the Torah in wealth will ultimately neglect it in poverty.
