Horayos 3:8-Zevachim 1:1
Horayos 3:8
A kohein takes priority over a Levi; a Levi over a Yisroel; a Yisroel over a mamzer (the product of an incestuous or adulterous relationship), a mamzer over a Gibeonite; a Gibeonite over a convert; a convert over a freed servant. This is the case when they are equal but if the mamzer is a Torah scholar and the Kohein Gadol is an ignoramus, then the learned mamzer takes priority over the ignorant Kohein Gadol.
Zevachim 1:1
If a sacrifice was slaughtered under the wrong name (i.e., for a different type of sacrifice), it is valid but the ones who brought it do not fulfill their obligation, except for the Passover offering and a sin offering (which are invalid if slaughtered for the wrong type of sacrifice) – the Passover offering when brought at its proper time and a sin offering at any time. Rabbi Eliezer also invalidates the guilt offering at any time (if slaughtered for the wrong type of sacrifice). Rabbi Eliezer explains that a sin offering and a guilt-offering are both brought because of sins; just as a sin offering is invalid if slaughtered under the wrong name, the same is true of a guilt offering.
