2,368. Eating Meat After Dairy

Maachalos Assuros 9:26

If a person eats cheese or milk, he may eat meat immediately after, though he must wash his hands and cleanse his mouth in between the cheese and the meat. One should cleanse his mouth with bread or fruit that he chews and then swallows or spits out. One may cleanse his mouth with anything except dates, flour and vegetables, which don’t cleanse well.

Maachalos Assuros 9:27

The above halacha applies to the meat of domesticated and wild animals. If one eats poultry after cheese or milk, he need not cleanse his mouth or wash his hands.
