2,367. Cutting Sharp Foods
Maachalos Assuros 9:24
If a knife was used to cut roasted meat and then to cut radishes or other sharp foods, one may not eat those foods with kutach (a dairy dip). However, if one cut meat and then cut zucchini or watermelon (which are not sharp), he should remove the part where the cut was made and the rest may then be eaten with milk.

We don’t put a jar of salt near a jar of kutach because it will absorb its flavor with the result that meat cooked with this salt will have the taste of milk. One may, however, put a jar of vinegar near a jar of kutach because vinegar won’t absorb its flavor.
